50 and not out!

My completed ‘commissioned’ card thanks with the help of my gorgeous crafty friends!
I had to make a card for someone who was turning 50 and the lady wanted a cricket image on the front. Well I never knew it would be so hard to find one!! There is everything else but cricket images out there. I put out a plea asking for help and my friends came through for me. Thank goodness for that as I don’t like to disappoint people. Then of course comes the stress of if they ‘like it’. We all have such different tastes and perceptions on how certain things should look, so I hope this will do the job Smile

PA018079

I’m still not sure on how much I can ‘bling’ up a male card but I just luuurve buttons and so they managed to find their way on there…in a manly way of course Winking smile

I'm entering this into Sentimental Sunday Challenge. I have 3 papers, 2 binding, 1 brad and a sentiment. Check!

Well I better go and wash my clothes AGAIN!! We have a puppy (LARGE puppy) with us and it decided to have fun with the clothes on the washing line. Gggggrrrrrr. Needless to say it’s now going to go back where she’s supposed to be!! YAY.

Made some Father’s Day Cards!

I seem to struggle a lot with making ‘male’ cards but I found them a little easier using these images from Pollycraft! I love to load up my cards with lace, bling, pearls and flowers but men just don’t seem to like these on their cards too much? hee hee.

P8308062

I still managed to sneak a few little pretties on them but NO bling!!

I hope all the Dad’s have a great Father’s Day this Sunday Smile

My eldest turns 18!!!

Just jumping in quickly to share with you the card I made my son, Brodie for his 18th birthday.
I still can't believe he's 18 and an adult!! EEEEIIIIKKKKK!
Time does go by so quickly so enjoy every moment you have with your children. He still kisses me good-bye and will say "I love you" when he's leaving the house with his mates. Naaaww.
He has such a gentle soul and kind heart and I hope he has an easy road travelling into his future and forever has happiness.

Love you Brodstar!!♥♥

You can never and I mean NEVER get a good pic of Brodie as he's always pulling some crazy face. Lucky to get this one with his cake after going out to an Italian Restaurant for dinner.

Yes, it's the traditional chocolate mud cake but from a cake shop and YES, it was delicious!!

Hugs, Kylie xo

Just for fun!

I'm still trying to get back into the 'enjoyment' of making my cards.
I finally ordered a stamp that I've been wanting for a long time now. A gorgeous 'boy' stamp from Lili of the Valley. Although my 'male' collection has grown a little, I still wanted this one!!
I found a sketch that suited my image size and this card was coloured and made in less than an hour!!! Can you believe that?
No pressure, no time lines and yes, I relaxed a little. :) Maybe because this guy is sooo relaxed?? I was so relaxed that I didn't even notice the 'extra' piece of twine left on my card!! Can you see it? lol.

I love this image as I think it's so versitile. It could be for a little boy or a granddad. Love it.

I followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday so I'm entering my card into their challenge this week.

There's no other reason to like Mondays but for the Pollycraft Challenges!!
This weeks challenge was set by the lovely Sandra. She's asked us to make a card using the colours Black and white + one other.

I'm on a mission!

Guess What? I cleaned my desk. I know right. I found soooo much paper that I've collected over the years (as well as lots of new stuff, hee hee) that I've decided I HAVE TO USE IT!!
Not only that, I have a lot of pre-stamped and pre-coloured images that are just going to waste. So after cleaning my desk I then messed it up again to make some cards!
I don't make many boys/mens cards either so I made 2. Yes, 2!! I know, I just amaze myself sometimes too! lol.
Here is the 1st one.

This is an image I coloured while visiting my bestie, Jackie, last year. It was my 1st attempt at colouring dark skin. I will have to practice some more. It was fun to try. I also don't like bright red, so this was also a challenge for me. I know, another shocker right??

Here is no. 2.

This is my very 1st boy image I coloured before I even brought my own copics. Jackie kindly shared her precious babies with me and teadiously taught me how to colour and BREATHE at the same time! lol. She definitely needs a medal for patience :)
I'm a green lover but don't like SU Garden Green and guess what this card uses?? Yep, garden green. Another personal challenge completed. Whoo hoo!

So after this huge effort, I'm off on holidays for the next week and a bit. I have some posts scheduled for you to show you the new previews from Tickled Pink Stamps. (I hope they work). Enjoy!!

It's my groups turn for the Monday Pollycraft Challenge. This week the gorgeous Jane asked us to create something related to "Autumn".
I've gone for the colours of Autumn and used the dear little Cuthbert from Pollycraft store.

This card was made for Father's Day.

Our sponsor this week is our very own leader Paula who has a voucher for you to spend in the shop.
There are lots of exciting new stamps in the Pollycraft store including some cute little mice (Mimi and Marley) for Christmas and a couple of funky Christmas ones too!!

Fun challenge this week although here in OZ we are in Spring!
