Ribbon Challenge

Yaaay, I've finally gotten to my craft desk today and not a moment too soon.
Kellie, store owner of Tickled Pink Stamps, set the DT girls a challenge this week to use ribbon on a Lil Lolita card. (Phew, made it just in time! lol)
Well I accepted that challenge and made a card using Lil Lolita, 'Evie'.
Hasn't she got the most adorable face?
I also accepted the challenge to make a tutorial on ribbon pleating for Tickled Pink Stamps. Go here to check it out.

I coloured her with my much loved copics and used the sketch from Sketch and Stash Challenge this week. Sideways though of course ;) I have used 2 new items on my card. The first being the charm and the 2nd is my 'Evie' stamp. *Gasp* I know, I know. I simply ran out of time to colour this cutie up, but now I have, so stop picking on me ok!!
The designer paper is from Sei, 'Jocelyn' available from Delicious Papercrafting, the flowers are from Bizzy Bec's and the friend's charm and 'Evie' are from Tickled Pink Stamps.
Kellie will be displaying all the gorgeous cards the Tickled Pink Ladies have created Sunday 30th May, on the Tickled Pink Stamps Blog.
I got another card finished tonight as well (don't faint ) but I'll save it for tomorrow!!

Please Help!

Can you help brighten someone's day??
One of the lovely DT ladies, Lisa, over at Pollycraft has put out a call of compassion. Her sister Jayme who is only in her early 50's has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. They have only just discovered that it has spread and her time is running out. Not only that but her dog Molly passed away a couple of weeks ago.
Lisa is asking her cardmaking friends, if they could send her sister a card to help keep her spirits up. She doesn't want any 'get well' cards of course, so maybe something bright, uplifting or even funny cards. Lisa has also been given some candy by the people she designs for and from online stores/blogs and you can enter your card for a chance to win some.
Also Paula from Pollycraft has a free digi image of a frog on her blog that you can download. Jayme is a frog lover and so Paula being the talented lady she is, drew a frog so she could make a card for her.
I am yet to make Jayme a card as I have only just read Lisa's post. Please visit Lisa's blog for all the information and details of where to send your card if you decide to make one.
I hope you can help to keep a smile on Jayme's face and help her through her difficult time.
Keep creating, it's worthwhile, Kylie xo

Pollycraft Challenge #45

Welcome to another challenge from Pollycraft.
This week is challenge #45 and you need to have Butterflies and Buttons on your card.
It was a great opportunity for me to use my new Basic Grey Buttons.

I also used my new butterfly charm from Tickled Pink Stamps and some velvet ric rac and lace I got from Picture to Page.
I used the new image from Pollycraft called Sydney - 'Flutterby'.
I just love all the new releases from both collections. So hard to pick a favourite.
Of course I coloured her using my copics and I added a little glossy accents to the flower in her hair and her heart necklace.
I hope you can join us this week at Pollycraft Challenges.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #47

Well I like this weeks MDUC much better ;)
This week we are looking for 'Shaped Cards'.

So for this card I dusted off the Cricut machine. And guess what? It still works. lol.
I cut out 2 crown shapes to form a princess crown card. Just what a princess needs.
I covered it in some Basic Grey dp 'porcelain' and sponged all the edges with 'pretty in pink' ink.
I edged it all with Diamond Stickles I got from Delicious Papercrafting and added some bling and lace from my stash.
Tickled Pink Stamps have some of the Magnolia Fairy Tale Collection and also some beautiful new embellies and stamps.

So I hope you can join us this week over at Magnolia Down Under Challenges. Can't wait to see what you create.
Be sure to get some inspiration from the DT girls. Their creations are awesome!!

Back with my card!

Told you I'd be back!
I dropped DH at the hospital and hung around for awhile until he was nearly ready to go. He should be having surgery as I type. Eeeeekkk!! He'll be fine :(
Another card another Lil Lolita. I know, I just love them!
This one is Ivy and Kellie has 10% off in the store here.

These are some papers I purchased at Picture to Page along with the lovely cream ribbon. I inked around the edges with chocolate and coloured Ivy with my copics. The cream mesh and Ivy stamps can be purchased at Tickled Pink Stamps. The rest is from my stash.
These are the challenges I'm entering Ivy into:
Sketch and Stash Challenge #35 - sketch/negleted Hero Arts sentiment
Bizzy Bec's Competition - Embellishments and Bling
Flutter By Wednedsday - Butterfly, Fairy or Angel
Have to run. Be back soon to share more with you.

Pink Ladies play with Burtonesque Dolls

Kellie from Tickled Pnk Stamps is sponsoring The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge this week.
What's this mean for you?
You could choose your very own Lil Lolita!
The challenge this week is to use a black flower and skullies.
I've used the ever so dark but so sweet Lilith. I just love her and she's fantastic to colour. You can find her here.
I've made a criss cross card

I have used SU black and riding hood red cs. The beautiful black and white designer paper is from Delicious Papercrafting. I actually purchased a few paper pads from Kristy. No, I'm not going to tell how many. I just loved them and couldn't decide which one to get so I got a few ;) Kristy also sells stamps including The Greeting Farm and Sweet Pea Stamps. Lowest price in Australia!!

I've added black lace, cream rose trim, black and red flowers blinged, a black butterfly and some glossy accents to Lilith's skull headband and flowers. All from my stash of goodies :)
The sentiment is from an old clear stamp set I found up and have neglected to use.
You can just see that I've also cut out another Lilith and 3d her onto the card. I thought after the paper tole challenge at MDU last week, that I need to get some cutting practice in!! I can hear your praise now Jackie, thanks ;)

So for your chance to win a gorgeous Lil Lolita stamp, enter your card into The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge this week. You can check them out now at Tickled Pink Stamps.

Day 5 preview of the Lil Lolitas!

Well here she is. Lil Lolita's, Lilith!
I have loved Lilith from the very beginning.

Along with some of the other Pink Ladies, the first images we coloured up, we dedicated to the lovely Tickled Pink Stamps owner, Kellie Winnell.
So of course she had to have red hair and to be dressed in Pink to be a Pink Lady!
Kellie still hasn't guessed what went on yet so sshh, don't tell her ok??
I have used the sketch set by Kellie this week for the Tickled Pink Stamps Blog Challenge.
Don't forget that you can use any company image that Kellie sells in store, but it doesn't need to be purchased from the store. Images such as Kraftin' Kimmie, CC Designs, Magnolia and of course her new babies, Lil Lolitas.
Hope you can join us this month. You could win the whole set of the new Lil Lolita Collection! Got to be in it to win it!!
I hope you have enjoyed seeing our 5 days of previews of the lovely Lil Lolitas and hopefully even managed to order some of your own at 10% from the store last night. Go and get yours now.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #45

Wow, was this ever a 'challenge' for me to complete.
Paper tole and cutting are NOT my thing! I can't believe the struggle and frustration I had making this card. And that's why they're called challenges!!

Magnolia Down Under Challenges this week has called for Paper Tole. Mount and make your images 3D.

This is a photo on the side so you could see the layers. Look at all that cutting out! My friend Jackie would be proud. Jackie is the 'Cutting Queen"!

The papers I've used are Webster's Pages available from Delicious Papercrafting. I've coloured Jam Tilda with my copics and the ribbon was a little find while at the markets this past weekend. It did come up a little bright in the photo though. The stamp is one I've had for a long time "Sending you happy everything".
Well if you're looking for a challenge this week, this is it!! Well it certainly was for me anyway!
Head on over to Magnolia Down Under Challenges to check out the DT girls gorgeous cards. They didn't seem to struggle at all! Bless 'em.
To all the Mums out there, I hope you all have a super special Mother's Day today. May your coffee be hot and toast not burnt ;)
