Oh no, panic, panic!!

No don't panic. Crisis averted.
Well my 1st sketch challenge was nearly a head on collision! All of you lovely ladies out there were just too sweet to even tell me I goofed!
When entering a challenge at 'Anyone for Anya', you are meant to used an Anya or Greeting Farm image. Well my card had a Sarah Kay image on it didn't it!? So I can still enter this card but would be unable to win. So I hit panic mode and quickly whipped up this next card. Oh and look at that, it has an Anya image on it. Clever me ;)

Whew, now I can breathe again.
The plain CS is SU Brocade Blue and Bravo Burgundy. The border punch is also SU eyelet punch. The DP, clear pearls and main flowers are from Bec's online store. I sprayed them with Pearl Shimmerz and added Ice Stickles to her headband and bobbles.
Well with that done and dusted, it's nearly midnight so "Happy New Year" to you all.
(I'm off to bed :0)

My 1st Sketch Challenge

I followed the Anyone For Anya sketch this week and thought I might enter it. Well that's if I figure out how to do it. It's my first ever challenge I'm going to enter so cross your fingers and toes for me. (It's randomly picked so it's pure luck).
I've made this for my dear friends, Jackie and her gorgeous family. They are deserting me next week as they have been posted to Canberra. How rude!!

I loved making this card. I love this Sarah Kay image. I just started colouring her with my copics and just wouldn't you know it, I used my favourite colours. Well that's not really fair to say now as I have a few favourites now. Ssshhh, don't tell my other copics ;) I used dimensional magic on the bow and flowers. The pink ribbon, white pearl ribbon slide, leaf border punch and flowers are all from Bec's Online Store. (link in my side bar). The plain CS is Stampin Up's Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip. The border punch is my new one from Martha Stewart.
Thank you to everyone who has visited my blog since I first started in July? this year. I wasn't sure why I was even starting one at the time but I'm sure glad I did. I've discovered some outstanding blogs backed up by some amazing people. I love visiting your blogs and seeing all the incredible talent you all pocess. Thank you for letting me into your world of creativeness and for sharing your talents with the rest of us.
Happy New Year to you all and may 2010 be an extra special creative year.

Finished in the nick of time!

Not sure why this card took me so long but here it is. This one is for my dear friend Jackie and her family. Mmmm, maybe it was the pressure of making a card for someone so talented!!

This cute little digi image is from Simply Inger and I've coloured her up with my copics. The papers, diamond dust, ticket stub and pearl brad are from Bec's online store, I've used my brand new Martha Stewart border punch and the ribbon is So Saffron from SU.
Yay, I've finished it just in time for Christmas. I will be seeing Jack and her family for an early morning cook up for breakfast and I will be able to give it to them then.
I hope everyone is ready for Christmas and that you all have a wonderful day surrounded by family and good friends. I hope we all eat too much and have Nanna naps in the afternoon ;)

Another Birthday

Yet another birthday card.
This one is for gorgeous friend Jay. "Happy Birthday Jay!!"
My dear friend of 15 years celebrates her birthday Christmas Eve!
I've chosen this Victoria Case image as when I first seen it, it reminded me of Jay. Jay has that wonderful curvacious womanly body and I've always teased her of her perfect butt! No matter what size she is, she always looks ALL woman and dressed to impress. (Killer heels!). Jay also has one or two tatts like this image.

I've used DCWV papers and used my brand new Martha Stewart border punch. These gorgeous flowers are from Bec's online store. Of course I've coloured her with my precious copics.

"Happy Birthday Nat"

Happy Birthday Natalie.
This card I made last night for a friend of mine. I picked this image as it actually reminds me of her a little.

The patterned paper, roses and ticket stub are all from Bec. The plain paper is Stampin' up and the flowers are Kaisercraft.
I've coloured her using my gorgeous Copics. I just love these markers. I colour more images than I make into cards, so I better get on top of that!
I hope you like my card. I have more red on this card than I do my Christmas cards.

I've done it!!

I'm done!!
Well just about but you were surprised right? And you all thought I'd have to buy my cards this year didn't you! (I did!).
I have a couple of 'special' ones I need to put together but now for the hard part. Writing on them all and posting them. AAAggghh, I hate the addressing part.

My son has a last minute party to go to today and of course I didn't have a male card handy, so I whipped this up quickly. Notice the paper? I've used the scraps from my christmas cards above. The scraps were all laying around and they matched this image perfectly, so I put them to good use.
This is Ian from The Greeting Farm. Love these images.

Well I wish you all a great weekend and good luck with all your Christmas cards.

Summer Fairy

I just love these digi fairies from The greeting Farm. This one is called Summer Fairy.

I've coloured her using my copics. The cs is SU Close to Cocoa, the tulip and music sheet papers are Bec's digi papers as is the ticket stub and flowers. I've added stickles to the flowers and the centre of the coloured flower. The lace and crystal spray is from my stash.
This card came together so easily. I just love it when that happens. It's also my fav colour combo so I'm happy :)
I'm trying to get my christmas cards finished but now waiting on some more cardstock to arrive. (any excuse, right?!) I will get them done but people may not receive them until AFTER Christmas! I hope not. I like to have them out early but that's not going to happen this year. People are probably already thinking I've forgotten about them! Don't worry, they're coming! (eventually).

"Happy Birthday Lauren"

"This is my 2nd post for today. Please scroll down for my 1st"
"Happy Birthday" for tomorrow Loz.
I've had Lauren's gift for some time now but only realised this afternoon that I hadn't wrapped it and her party is tonight!!
I got this tutorial from Splitcoaststampers. It's a gable box by Regina Andari.

I've used SU elegant eggplant and Basic Grey cs to go with the card we'll be giving Loz for her birthday. Here. Also used SU 'Oval All' stamp set again.
This is another Greeting Farm digi image called Winter Fairy. It's a shame I had to cut her dress off but you've gotta do what ya gotta do!! It was all in the name of 'craft' so that makes it ok.
Yes I know the ribbon is off centre so lets just pretend that's the way its supposed to be :)
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Dad's Card

This is a get well card I made for my Dad who has just left hospital after suffering a brain bleed. The doctors said we are vey lucky to have him. (I say they were lucky to have found his brain. lol.) Apparently this hasn't changed his outlook on life and is still the same 'old grumpy buggar' he used to be. I'm sure secretly he is thankful to be able to spend more time with his family especially with Christmas around the corner!

I found this image at Lost in paper scraps by Dawn Moore. Although it doesn't look like my Dad it still reminded me of him. lol.
I coloured him using my copics which are not so hazardous to my health anymore. You'll be happy to know that I don't hold my breath when I colour now! They are now only hazardous to my bank account!
I've used Stampin' up's Sahara sand cs and ink and their 'Oval All' stamp set. The patterned paper is Kaisercraft and the buttons and ribbon are from my stash.
Happy to have you safe at home Dad.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACKIE!"

This is NOT a typical card for Jackie. She is love with all the pixies and fairies and as much glitter as one can handle. So of course she would be expecting a beautiful glittered fairy card but NOOOO. Not this time.
So what else does Jackie like? Diamonds, Edward (Twilight), mmmm, of course!! Edward's skin in the sunlight dazzles like diamonds, so a card of Edward (showing a little flesh) covered in diamonds! (stop it Jackie, I can see you drooling!).

Here is a close up of the ticket punch I got from Bec's new digi shop. I glittered around the edge but it's a bit hard to see.
I thought the sentiment was perfect for Jackie, especially when she seen the print out of it yesterday and loved it!!
"Happy Birthday my dear friend"

On another happy note, my Dad came home from hospital late yesterday. He's doing really well but there are still some hurdles. Just happy to have him with us.

Cheerful Card

Wow it's been awhile since I've shared something new.
We've all been very busy organising my partner who is being deployed tomorrow.
I've also been busy with phone calls both from my sister and Mum with news on my Dad who is unwell in hospital. Without going into all the details, he has had a brain bleed and after all the procedures he is doing well. Another few days yet left in hospital until he passes the danger periond and then hopefully he will be allowed home.
Now enough of the sad news and on with a card!

I coloured this gorgeous Anya image quite awhile ago. My pile of coloured images seems to be growing (because I love using my Copics!!) and so I thought I better start putting them onto cards!! This is a bright and cheery card for keeping away those blues.
I hope everyone has a lovely day and I'll be around to check on your blogs soon.

Pixie Chick

Another digital stamp. This one is from Pixie Chicks.
This time I followed some advice I've been getting from all of the lovely ladies in blog land. First I got some paper, then a sketch and lastly coloured my image. I think it worked. It certainly was a lot easier. At least this coloured image didn't go into the ever growing pile of coloured images that I can't seem to put on a card!!
The papers, border and flowers are all from Bizzy Bec's.
Have to run. Looking for a new washing machine and want to get it done before it gets too hot.
Talking about the weather, we had a massive thunder and lightning show here last night. It would have to be the LOUDEST one we have had yet! It sounded soooo angry. My 13yr old daughter hates storms and as usual came bolting into my room. The lightning was so bright she thought I had the blinds open and asked me to close them!
I hope you all have some way of keeping cool over this scorching weekend. Tomorrow is forecast for the 40's. (thank goodness for airconditioning!!).

My Dark Side

I just love my new set of digi's from CC designs. This one is called 'Gossamer'.

I loved colouring this one in with my copics. (and Jackie's copics too. Thanks Jack!) Jackie also showed me a different technique for shading in her dress. It took me forever but I think it was well worth it.
I used SU Perfect Plum and Basic Grey papers along with DCWV printed paper. SU basic grey ribbon, Kaisercraft flowers and the rest is from my own stash.
Yay, the weekend is here but wow what a scorcher it's going to be. 37 degrees with thunderstorms. Still, we are not going to be as hot as Adelaide and I do have airconditioning. Great day to stay in and stamp I say!!

Bec's Free Digi

Well I've just created my 1st Christmas card, can you believe it? Has anyone else NOT started yet?
Bec has a free digi at the moment over on her blog. It's the christmas ticket thats on my card. Cute ey?

The printed paper is also from Bec's store. I was going to enter this in the Creatalicious Challenge but I don't think there's enough glitter on it. I was then going to enter it in the Mojo Monday challenge but I changed the sketch a little and then it all became too hard. So what now you say? Well it's my 1st Christmas card and I posted it for eveyone just to enjoy! So....enjoy!!
Yeah I know, I can hear you... go and make some christmas cards as it's only around the corner. I will, soon, promise. (oooh no, I shouldn't promise.)

"Happy Birthday Jax"

I have just had a fantastic weekend away with the girls at Sydney's Fashion Weekend. The 'girls' being Nat, Nik & Danielle. I drove into Sydney for the very first time which I was quite a bit nervous about but I had the Navman and a well travelled 'Deej' in the back seat. (Thanks again Danielle). Poor Deej was also on crutches as she has not long had knee surgery. She was an absolute trooper all weekend even with her swollen and bruised leg, she had a blast. I think the rest of us complained more as we were all silly enough to wear heels at the fashion show! Those babies soon came off when we got back to the appartment and our feet went into the pool! (aaaahhh, sigh of relief!) Note to self: 'Don't wear heels when on an all day shopping extravaganza!" We headed out that night (in flats!) and had a fantastic night but, 'what happenes on camp, stays on camp! lol.
Well enough of me. I want to wish my nephew Jackson a wonderful birthday, so "HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAX". Love ya mate.

This is a digi stamp found somewhere out in cyber space. So please, if this is yours let me know so I can give you the credit for such a fantastic 'pirate dragon'.( Late note: Thanks Cheryl. I think this is a Dustin Pike dragon but I can no longer find this particular one. There are many more to choose from though. Go and have a peek Here.)
Yes, I used my 'health hazards' (my copics) to colour this guy in. He was a bit of fun to do and I had to put him together fairly quickly as I forgot that I needed to make it a week ahead. My nephew lives in country Vic and the mail takes a few days to get there and so I had to put my skates on to get it finished in time.
I hope all of you had a fantastic weekend also either stamping or just hanging with family and/or friends.

Frustrating!

I've still been practicing with my copics and have coloured a few images now. The really frustrating bit is how to assemble the card without taking it away from your image.
Jackie mentioned over at her blog today how hard it is to assemble a card once you've coloured your image. (feel your pain Jack!)
It took me a whole night to piece this baby together. It made it harder when I buggered (Aussie slang) up the sponging around the outside of Tilda. Yes, that's why there is a tab hanging off the side!!
Maybe I need more bits and pieces to make it easier!! You know, a broader choice of goodies to paste on the page. lol.

It does make it a lot easier though when you have a little stash of Bec's papers. (Love that online shop). This little Tilda image was included in one of Bec's kits. Gorgeous isn't she? (yes, Bec too. lol)

Once again I've used copics to colour but these shades are from Jackie's collection until I can add more to mine. Thanks Jack.

The cs is from SU and is Old Olive and Really Rust. The printed paper is from Bec as is the rose and the butterfly.
Hope you all have a lovely day stamping.

No Pinks!

Yes, still loving copics. I am learning to breathe gently out of my nose now when I colour. Go me!! (Still no large areas for the moment though).
I wanted to do a 'pink' card for Jackie's dear Nan who is having a birthday on rememberance day. "Happy Birthday Mammy!"
I asked Jack what her favourite colour was and the answer was pink. I wanted to use my new Anya stamp (isn't she gorgeous!) and decided to do a pink card of course. BUT guess what? I HAVE NO PINK COPICS!! Can you believe that. MY fav colour combo is pink and green and yet I have no pink copics. (except for R20 for the cheeks of course).
I told you I need more copics. Look out Christmas!
I made do with what I had and so used my beautiful greens and then incorporated pinks with papers and embellishments. The beautiful pink and white roses are from Bec's store along with the patterned papers.

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend. It's meant to be raining here again tomorrow so I'll just have to stay inside and stamp. (whoo hoo).

Halloween Goodie Boxes

Just a quick post today. I wanted to show you the goodie bags I made for my daughter's Halloween themed birthday party. They were filled with 'eyeballs', 'ears', 'tongues', 'spider rings', 'zombie chews' and a few other goodies.

These were made before I got my copics. I so appreciate now what the copics are capable of. Yes I still luuurrve them and very busy practicing. I had a fabulous day yesterday 'practicing' with Jackie and Vicki. Thanks girls. (and of course a lot of chatting!) I sooo have to get more. It was great being able to share the other girl's copics and using some different colours. At the moment I am just rearranging colours to make each image 'appear' to be coloured differently. My eyes are hanging out of my head as I just can't seem to put the copics down, hence the late nights!!
I am starting to 'breathe' now when I colour but I discovered yesterday I can't colour and talk at the same time!
More practice please girls!!!

More Copics

I NEED MORE!
Yes I need more 'health hazards' (copics). I'm trying to colour some different images in and get some pracitce using my new babies but I don't even have my favourite colour of pink! I wonder if my family really need to eat this week? Well I know I would survive on my copics alone. lol.
I made this card for Anne-Maree's birthday. "Happy Birthday!"
I've used a stamp image the lovely Bec sent to me. The beautiful patterned paper and flowers are from Bec's online shop. Here. The other paper is Stampin' Up's So Saffron and Bashful Blue. SU So Saffron ribbon and sentiment. The pin was in my stash.

Congrats also to Jackie who had a fantastic Christmas workshop yesterday. Hope we get another one in before you leave. :(

Copic Warning!

Well I've finally gone and done it. Yes, I've invested in some copics and I am in luuurvve. lol. Thanks to my dear friend Jackie, she guided me through the huge list of shades and I ordered the basics. (well for now anyway!).
I have discovered though that they are a health risk. Don't be alarmed as it probably only happens to me. I don't BREATHE while I am colouring!! Jackie was kind enough to give me some leasons the other night (thanks Jack), and every time I stopped colouring I realised that I had been holding my breath! Maybe I can only do one thing at a time and because I was concentrating so hard I actually forgot to breathe! I'm sure in time with some practice I will be able to do these 2 things together. (otherwise no 'big' areas to colour for me!) lol.
I coloured one image in my favourite colour combo of pinks and greens. (ok it took an hour!! Well I had to stop for breath breaks!)
I haven't made that into a card as yet.
This card I'm showing you is an image I coloured when I got home from my teacher's house. So this is my first card put together using copics (which I should fondly name my 'health hazards")
I gave this card to Jackie today as she was my inspiration. I think it only fair she should be the receiver of my first copics card. Love ya Jack! xo
Don't look too closely but let me know what you think. Should I order more 'health hazards'?

My Daughter's Creation

When I was trying to finish the Wedding card below, my 13 yr old daughter sat beside me begging me for something to colour. Miki (Mikaela) also loves the Gorjuss Girl stamps and so picked this one.
I let her loose on some papers and she helped herself to my inks. This is what she came up with. I was very proud of her. She sat quietly and completed it with only a couple of questions. She wants to give it to her 'bestie' for her birthday but she now has to wait until December to pass it on. She has already written on the inside or I would show you that too as she has decorated that also with the same paper as on the front. Her favourite parts were the bright yellow boots and the buttons. (mmmm, I love buttons too!)

Well done sweetie!!

Wedding Card

Look familiar?

Can you remember my very 1st post? (OK so maybe YOU don't but I do as it was so scary!!)

This one is very similar with a few minor changes.
I made this wedding card into an envelope pocket card as I needed to add some money. The bride and groom had a 'Wishing Well' for guests to put money into in replace of gifts.

We attended the wedding of Nikita and Scott yesterday (Sunday) in the Hunter Valley NSW. It was a beautiful ceremony and yes I had tears in my eyes as did many others. The bride was simply stunning, the bridesmaids were gorgeous dressed in pink and the groom and groomsmen looked very handsome in black suits. Congratulations Nik and Scott and thank you so much for including us in your celebrations. We had a blast.
(I will post a pic when I work out my partner's camera as it's new).
Speaking of my partner, here he is. This is Phil. We are rarely in a photo together and so my daughter (also camera happy!) jumped at the chance to take our picture.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

I'm Back!!

Yes I am back!! Early though I might add.
A very long story cut short is my partnter's car broke down (cracked head. The car, not my partner lol). So I had to drive him from country Vic back to NSW ready for work this past Monday. His car is going to take 2 weeks to repair so he will have to fly back to Vic to then drive it home here to NSW. We had 2 cars down there as I was staying longer with the kids and to spend more time with family and friends.
More bad luck (we seem to have had our fair share this past week), we had no phone connection when we returned home which also meant no internet connection. But look, it's back on. Yay. Although today our electricity is being cut off between the hours of 7.30am to 3.30pm as they are working on the lines. Yes, this story does continue but I have happier things to talk about and I'm sure most of you are already yawning!!
On with my creation.
I made this for my Mum for her birthday. I couldn't post it before I left for holidays as she would have seen it on my blog before I had a chance to give it to her for her birthday.
This is the front.
I can't find where I found this but will definately find it for you. (If you recognise this let me know so I can pass on the credit). (Note: This is a kwerner creation)

This is the 2nd and 3rd pages.

This is showing you how the tags slide out.

These are the last pages.
I have added little vellum 'Mother sayings' on the tags and a poem on the back page. The last big tag in the back has a photo of Mum and myself when I was only a baby.
I loved putting this project together. Not only because it was quite simple but it was made with a purpose for someone very special. I hope you like it Mum and Happy Birthday!!

Tatiana KETTO

I am not a fan of the colour red BUT look what I made!

I made this card with the person in mind and she loves purple and orange. I always use that colour combo for her so I thought it was time for a change. Orange is yet another colour I don't do very well. It might be hard to believe but I like Real Red and Elegant Eggplant colours together. As red is not a colour I normally like, I don't have any embellishments to match. I did find a couple of red brads that were in a mixed container and a ribbon slide that I got on sale a few months back. The heart charm is from Bizzy Bec's online store.

The stamped image is another from Stamping Bella. She's called Tatiana from the Ketto range.

Thanks for looking.

Sister's Birthday.

"Happy Birthday" to my "big" little sister Donna.

(You will never live that one down Don but I still love ya)

Donna celebrated her birthday this past weekend but as I will be seeing her this weekend, I will take her card home with me. (A September Birthday!) It's a shadow box card so it wouldn't post too well. I got this idea off SCS. (Did you notice the colour red in it?) My sister's favourite colour is chocolate and red. Can't wait to get home and babble over a cup of coffee with her face to face.

This was my first attempt at making one of these cards and it came together quite easily. Although I would love to find an envelope template to make for it. I've used my favourite SU Stamp Set (at the moment anyway) 'Friends 24-7'.

I have also attempted the faux linen technique again on the background. Hope you like it.

Keep creating, Kylie xo

Mikaela's Birthday Card

This card is for my daughter Mikaela who is going to be a teenager in October. (Yes all the girls in my family are celebrating their birthdays in October!).
"Happy 13th Birthday Miki"
Her favourite colour is Jade. I've used the SU colours 'Taken with Teal' and 'So Saffron'. I've also used the So Saffron ribbon I received for free with my last order with Jackie. Yes, I spent over $100 (which isn't hard for me) to receive this one and the certainly celery ribbon pack. Well worth it I think.
The stamped image is from Stamping Bella. Her name is Missmatch from the Ketto range. Isn't she cute?

I'm heading to country Victoria this weekend to catch up with family and friends. I'll be gone for a whole 3 weeks!! I'm trying to get excited about the trip but when it's going to take me about 14 hours to get there with 3 kids in the back seat, I'm beginning to quaver!
Thanks for looking.

Birthday Girls

I loooove this card!!

This was my 2nd attempt at making a large square card and I really love it. I'm not sure whether it's because it's for my sweet, baby girl's 3rd Birthday or because it turned out a little 'shabby chic' looking which is a style I love but never do. Partially because I don't know how and I don't have a lot of the embellishments.

Part of this card was put together with Bec's card kits and my own stash of bits. They don't all co-ordinate but I still like the end result.
The image is one of the Sara Kay range. Yes another one borrowed from the beautiful Jackie.

This is the inside of the card.

This was my first attempt at putting a large square card together. I made this one bright as it's for another special girl's birthday who loves pink. This birthday is special as Abbey shares her birthday with ME!

I'm not sure about this card as I'm not really sure where everything is meant to go. (so much more space to fill!). What I do know is I love the colours. Pink and green are my favourite colour combo.

"Happy Birthday" to 2 special girls, Jorjia and Abbey.
If you have any hints for me on how to put these cards together, I would love to know. Thanks.

Teenager Card

Another teenager. Wow I'm starting to feel really old now. I've been there since the day Joshua was born and now he's going to be 13 this week. Where has the time gone?

I've used the SK8R Boy stamp again from Sugar Nellie. Yeah o.k I should find some different boy stamps but I like how this one turns out.

I've coloured this image again using my watercolour pencils and then sponged the edges. I embossed the letter J, sponged it all and used dimensionals to put it all together.

I keep saying how October is our busy birthday month but it looks like September is quite busy as well.

Thanks for stopping by..

Bright Card

Another image from Jackie (thanks Jack) but I'm not sure what this one is called, sorry. You might have to visit Jackie at her blog and ask her if you're interested.
This one is for our niece Olivia who is turning 10 at the end of the month. It was great to do some fun, bright colours. I've coloured the image with my watercolour pencils and then added glitter to her wings. I didn't have flowers to match these colours so I made my own torn flower with the scraps and added a glitter brad. The buttons are also from my own stash threaded with white ribbon.

Ketto Birthday

As promised here is the card that took me all of my sick days to finish. It was driving me crazy seeing it sitting there on my craft desk and not being able to finish it. I couldn't sit up for too long and as you all know, when you're sick, so is your 'mojo'.

I have used one of the Ketto stamps which Vicki kindly let me stamp. (well I didn't stamp it as such, Jackie did for me. Thanks Jack.)

I'm not sure how this card actually got finished but I think it turned out fairly cute.

This card is for the cute little Jaimee who is turning 2 in the next few weeks.

I am making these cards in advance as October is a huge birthday month for me, so I need the head start.

Thanks for stopping by.

Layered Illusion

Look what I just made.
I haven't been able to stamp the last few days due to a cold but I just wanted to sink my teeth into something and actualy finish it. Thanks to the very talented Michelle I was able to create the 'Layered Illusion Floral' card. I didn't have the same stamps and inks as Michelle so I adjusted it to what I had. This is my first attempt, so now I know what I'm supposed to be doing I'm going to try it again. Why? Because it was FUN. I love creating just for the fun of it.
I have also just finished a 2 yr old birthday card but I will post it tomorrow. That card took me all weekend going back and forth looking at it, wondering what I was going to do with it. It started off well until I got sick. That's why I like the above card as it all came together easily and I didn't have to make it for a reason...just for FUN!

Anniversary Card

Congratulations to our beautiful friends Geoff and Jackie on their 20th Wedding Anniversary. This truly is an amazing achievement. We hope you've enjoyed your day in peace and quiet (no I haven't rang and interupted them today) and that you have a wonderful evening out for dinner.

I hope you enjoy your card. This was also a big achievement. It has taken me nearly all day to make and I still haven't used the original flower design that I tried to do. I will show Jackie my poor attempt at the other flower tomorrow so she can have a laugh.

Once again Congrats to the beautiful couple on your Anniversary. Mwah!!

Tag Pocket Album

2 posts in one day!! Who'd have thunk?

This is one of my surprise gifts but because Jackie has already seen it I thought I'd give you a quick look as well. Of course it's not finished and 'blinged' yet but it will be a very personal gift and I wouldn't be showing you all the details when it was finished anyway. I may just show you the front.

I found this creation by the very talented Patti. She has called it the 'Bella Rose Tag Pocket Album'. Go on over and take a look at Patti's blog. She has some fantastic projects. Thanks for sharing Patti. I have a couple more projects from Patti's blog that I cant' wait to get started. This Pocket Album comes together fairly quickly ( I like quick projects!) and Patti's instructions are
great to follow.

(Front view)

(Inside view. 6 pages)

(4 little tags that are inserted into to album)
I hope you all like it as much as I do. (I hope Jackie will like the finished project)

Father's Day Cards

I know, I know. It's been a long time between posts but I am currently doing a few little projects that are surprises for upcoming birthdays. October is an extremely busy birthday month in our family and it seems to be growing with more friends and new little additions. I will show these projects to you all but you'll have to wait until October. In the mean time it's Father's Day this weekend so here are my cards.

This card I made a little while ago with a friend of mine. (waving at ya Nik!) We've used SU Stamp sets 'Lovely as a Tree' & 'Best Yet'. We added some paper piercing, sponging, raised the verse with dimensionals and added some buttons from my stash. A very easy and simple card.

This card I made at Jackie's workshop a few weeks back. We got to play with the new Scallop oval punch and the new stamp set 'Oval All' from the new spring mini catalogue.

I have to make one more Father's Day Card as the Father of my 2 eldest children will be visiting them this weekend but sshhhhh, it's a secret surprise for them.

I hope all the Father's out there have a fantastic Father's day!
