Tea Bag Holder

I made this tea bag holder a couple of weeks ago to send to a girlfriend of mine. As you can see I haven't sent it as yet so I thought I'd show you before putting it in the post.
I got the instructions from Makeesha's 'Make it Monday' posts.

I've put in a tea bag on the left and then on the right I've written a little message on the pull out tag.
As I now live in another state away from most of my dear friends, I'm going to make a few more and send these as well. We will all then be able to sit down to a cup of tea together remembering our favourite moments. Mmmm, do you think Tim Tams will travel well? No? O.K. then, I'll have to eat their share as well.

Keep creating, Kylie xo

Shutter Card

These shutter cards are everywhere at the moment, so of course I had to give them a go. They are really easy and quick to put together. I followed the tutorial here and the put the cover card on the front following Dawn's instructions.

I am going to give this card to the lovely Louise at my child's Day Care Centre as it's her birthday on Thursday. "Happy Birthday Louise". I'm not sure if you can see but I have embossed all the flowers before cutting them out. I just love my Fifth Avenue stamps from Stampin' Up. I am also in love with Kiwi Kiss. Unfortunately it's an 'in colour' so I am going to have to stock up on this. Yes, o.k. I love all of the 'in colours' so I'll have to stock up on all of them.
I hope you're all having a lovely week 'stamping'.
Keep creating, Kylie. xo

Neutral Baby Cards

I was asked to make a neutral baby card for a friend over the weekend so I eventually came up with two. It's quite difficult to make something for others when you're not sure of their style and tastes. So lets just hope she likes what I've done.

CS: So Saffron, Almost Amythest, Whisper White, Close to Cocoa
DSP: Petals & Paisleys
Ink: Close to Cocoa, Almost Amythest, So Saffron
Stamp Set: Stampin Up-a discontiued one I'm not sure of the name-'itty bitty background'?
Imaginisece baby giraffe
Accessories: eyelet border punch, my own stash of buttons, string, ribbon, dimensionals, glitter, decorative scissors.

The second one came together really quick, really late at night.

CS: Almost Amythest, Sage Shadow
DSP: Spring Fling
Ink: Almost Amythest, Sage Shadow
Stamp Sets: Stampin Up Congrats, Polka Dot Punches.
Accessories: clear embossing, dimensionals, ribbon & buttons.

I hope you are enjoying my little creations and I will be back soon with more to show you.

Keep creating, Kylie. xo

Fifth Avenue Floral

As promised, here are my Fifth Avenue Floral cards. This first one I cased from the talented Marelle Taylor. I love the simplicity in this card as it's very effective. I changed the dsp and some colours Marelle used but the design is very similar.
The second card I have seen around on a few blogs and have wanted to try it but wasn't quite sure of the technique. Well I've given it a go and this is how mine turned out. I've also decorated the inside of this card which is something I don't normally do but I might start to. ("but wait, there's more!!"). It's nice for the receiver to open it and get something a little extra.

I've received my parcel today from the lovely Bec (Bizzy Becs in my blog list), so I am going to keep practicing my colouring and attempt to produce a lovely card for you to look at. Look out Jack, I'll be over for some tips!!
Keep creating, Kylie xo

Male Cards

I find it very difficult to make 'male' cards (as I love all things 'pretty' with ribbon & bows), so I was very pleased when I actually created 2 in a row.
The 1st one is for a nephew. I'm only new to 'colouring' so I'll keep practicing. I think he turned out pretty cute. Yes, our nephew is pretty cute too. Hi Josh, Happy Birthday!!

This one I'm sending a great distance to a dear friend of ours who is currently o/s. Hi "G". Of course there are plenty of goodies being posted out with this card as well.
This card is all stamping up products. CS: Always Artichoke, Not quite Navy, Close to Cocoa & Very Vanilla. Inks: Always Artichoke and Close to Cocoa. Stamp Set: Trendy Trees. Accessories: dimensionals, paper piercing, 1" circle punch & 1 1/4" circle punch.

I've been busy tonight playing with my Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set (which I won at Convention in Canberra, whoo hoo) so I will show you all soon. No, I am NOT a SU Demonstrator. I went as a guest with my dear friend Jackie Thomas. I think I was the only 'guest' there. Is there anyone else out there in blog land that attended as a 'guest'?

Hope you all a great weekend stamping!! Back soon with my Fifth Avenue creations.

3 x 3 Note Card Tote

Yay!! My first post seemed to have worked well so I might try this again. I'm presuming the more times I do this, the easier it will be. Even my Mum found my blog and left a comment. Thanks Mum. Love you.♥

I found this tutorial on SCS and loved it. I thought I'd give it a try.

I have used Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes. CS: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Sahara Sand and Whisper White. Inks: Sahara Sand and Close to Cocoa. Choc Chip ribbon, brads from my own stash, dimensionals, round scallop punch and eyelet border punch.

These were fairly easy and didn't take too long to make. A cute little gift for someone.
Here is another photo of the 4 little cards inside. Hope you like it.

Not So Shelli Card

Well here it is. My first attempt at uploading a photo for you. Please be gentle and most of all patient.

I tried to remember the beautiful creation that Shelli Gardner made but it wasn't until I finished my card that I found the photo of hers and realised that they are really NOT the same. I had forgotten all about the chalking technique. I did remember the tearing which I've done but purposely didn't stamp the flower.

I am hoping this will be OK for my friend's wedding in July. I may have to make another one as I have another wedding in October.

I have used Pink Pirouette, Whisper White and Basic Black CS, Friends 24-7 stamp set, Friendly Words wheel, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Old Olive & Basic Black Inks, dimensionals, flowers, ribbon & brad are from my own stash, clear embossing powder and I've sponged the edges.
Well I hope this all works and that you like my first card creation.

Welcome to my blog. It's something that just sort of happened as I was looking over my favourite's list. I'm not sure exactly why I did but stay tuned and I will show you some of the little creations that I like to do. Most of them I make as I am so inspired by all the wonderful talent that I browse over most days. So thank you to all that share your amazing talent and for helping me create what I do.
