Friday Sketchers Challenge

I've had this little cutie sitting on my desk now for the last 2 nights. I've just finished her and thought I should show you!

This is Gem a digi from Digital Ink Co. I coloured her up quite a few weeks ago and then forgot about her. (ssshhh don't tell her that!)

I had some papers left over from a pack I bought from Bec's online store so utilised that.

I used Jackie's big shot to cut out the label. But now I have my own big shot and used it to cut out my image. Whoo hoo! love my Big Shot (I only have 2 pkts spellbinders. lol)
I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers. Loved it! So of course I'm entering my card into that challenge this week.

Look what little surprise I found in my mail box today!
An absolutely gorgeous Easter card sent to me all the way from Holland! The gorgeous Mother and daughter team, Anne Marie and Merit of 'Scrapcard Girls" sent this to little ol' me! I was so excited. It's so much nicer IRL. All the edges are inked and the little flowers have glossy accents on them. Just beautiful girls thank you. I will cherish it.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend. I hope you eat lots of chocolate and wherever you go, drive safely!!

SO MUCH NEWS!

So much news and so little space!

First of all my most exciting news, the gorgeous Kellie owner of the Magnolia Down Under Store, has asked me to be on the Design Team until the end of the year! Whoo hoo! After picking my jaw up off the floor of course I said a big fat YES! Thanks Kellie and the rest of the DT girls for having me.

I officially take on this role the 1st April but in the meantime Kellie asked me to set the DT girls a challenge. Sooo...... "DT Challenge set by Kylie" is masking but with a twist. You had to mask a Magnolia image with a different companies imgae. This could've been 'Kraftin' Kimmie', 'CC Desings', etc.

As I have a lot of digi's now instead of rubber, this was limiting for me. (yeah and I set the challenge! lol.)

I've used 2 Magnolia images, the note paper and Tilda with flowing hair. This Tilda is part of the Easter collection. I also used the 'sitting' Gorjuss Girl image.

The girls have until Midnight this Friday to post their challenge cards.

I made a mini easel card and even incorporated some faux stitching which is the challenge at the moment over at the MDU Challenge blog.

I've added some glitter to the girl's dresses and also some glossy accents to their flowers.

I am going to enter this into the following challenges:

Magnolia Down Under Challenges - Real/faux stitching

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Pink, Green and Flowers

Town Scrapper - Easter (Easter Tilda)

Are you all still here? Most excellent :)

Kellie is also pre-ordering the new Magnolia Ink No.3 in the store here.

Be sure not to miss out on upcoming news and specials by signing up to the newsletter. Why not do it while you're there ordering your Mag!

But WAIT, there's MORE!!
More you say. We can't handle anymore news from you today!
Well ok then, I shall save some more fantabulous news for you to read another day!! lol.
Yes I do have more to share and I promise to tell you all soon!!

Boys Birthday Card

First of all sorry about the angle of the picture. With so many other angles going on, I thought I had it straight. Ooops!!
This card is being sent to a 4yr old boy. It's his birthday tomorrow and he's the son of one of my dearest friends in VIC. Miss you guys!

I ordered some images online and this is just 1 of them! No, I won't tell you how many I've got ;p
I think he's perfect for a little boy.
I'm not feeling the most creative today, so it was good to do something simple but most importantly get it completed! I seem to have taken the faux stitching idea onto this card as well.
I have some very exciting news to share with you all this week, and I may even let you in on the secret tomorrow! Well it's exciting news for me anyway and I thought you might like to hear it! So stay tuned!!

Digi 'Fidget Goblin Spider'

Evening everyone! Hope you all had a lovely weekend!
I've had this CC Designs image inked up for ages. This is 'Fidget Goblin Spider' and I got her as a digi image. Love digi's (when printer is working!)
I needed to sit and mindlessly create something today and this is what I came up with.

I followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday. Love it! So easy to work with. Added: Oops, looks like I missed this one. Still love the sketch though ;) So of course I am entering into their challenge as well as the SophistiCat Challenge. They are calling out for Mint Green, Lilac, 1 other colour and flowers.
Of course I added my own touches of buttons and some glitter on the flowers.
Thanks for stopping by and all your lovely comments. They make my day!

Tilda with 3 Flowers

Happy Monday! *Yawn* Sorry, slow start today. Well it is Monday!

Magnolia Down Under Challenges have a sketch this week.

Perfect timing. I had just finished colouring my new Magnolia stamp "Tilda with 3 flowers", and needed to put her at home on a card.

I haven't done a sketch challenge at MDUC before so I jumped in!

I loved this sketch solely for the use of my buttons! I luuuurve buttons! I also tried masking again. I'm quite liking it and I get to use the accessory stamps more.
I've distressed around all the edges and have used papers from Bec's online store. I've added some dazzling diamonds on Tilda as well.
Other challenges I have put Tilda into:
Hope you like it and thanks for visiting!

Finally!!

Between an unwell DD, phone calls and general everyday goings on, I FINALLY finished colouring my image. This is Cherry Emma from the CC Design collection.

This card came together in a matter of minutes after I got the chance to sit and create!! I just love it when that happens! Especially when I thought it was going to be one of those cards that just wasn't getting completed! lol.
I hope you like it!
I was going to enter it into some challenges but I'm just too tired now. So just enjoy ;)
Well I changed my mind and put it into the Pink Elephant which are asking for Spring.

Bonnie

I've just realised I've used pink and kraft cs AGAIN!! Sorry girls, it's obviously time to clear the craft desk again. Pink is one of my fav colours though ;)
I've coloured in the darling little Bonnie from Spesch Designer Stamps. When I seen her I just couldn't resist buying her.

My cousin and his wife have just had their 2nd little girl so what better reason did I need to make a card with Bonnie?!
I kept this fairly simple as this has to be posted. NO flowers and NO ribbon. Yes, I am feeling a little off colour today ;) There are some little pearls in the corners though!
I will be entering this in the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - anything goes and also the Pile it on challenge - pastels

Hope you're all having a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by.

Pollycraft Freebies

Happy Sunday everyone.

I was busy last night creating this card for Pollycraft. They are on the search for new DT members and so I thought 'why not?' This is a freebie at the moment, Codi stylin' as well as a cute little duck holding a cupcake.

I thought I'd do this card a little different. I used some papers that my gorgeous friend Jackie (hi Jack!) gave me when I went to visit her. Cute aren't they! I colourd Codi in with my copics. I kept her 'girlie' with a bit of a grunge look. I've still put flowers on the card with a bit of glitter so she's still 'glam'. The flowers are from Bec's online store. The sentiment is also from Pollycraft.
This one I think is called 'Cake'.

I'm not a huge fan of yellow so I thought I'd do a greyish white duck. I still think he looks cute. I put a tad of glitter on the flame of the candle and put crystal effects on the icing for the cake.
This sentiment is also from Pollycraft.

Hope you're all having a great weekend!

Just for challenges

Wow, I have just seen that this is my 100th post! I should've made a birthday card for myself. lol. Well I suppose in a way I have. Pinks, greens and chocolates are my favourite!!
I looked around at a couple of challenges to do. I found a sketch at Totally Gorjuss only then to find out it was last weeks! The challenge this week is 'something sweet'. Phew, I still did the sketch but changed my paper.

I'm also going to enter the Town Scrapper Challenge for the 1st time. There challenge is '3 buttons'. (luuuurve buttons). Over at Pollycraft they have asked for distressing.
Well after all of that, it's like these challenges were MADE FOR ME!!
I love distressing, buttons and all things sweet. I even used a sweet Gorjuss Girl stamp called 'sitting'.
Have a great weekend everyone and thanks for taking the time to drop by!

Snoesjes

First of all, sorry about the photos. I think the shimmer made it difficult and I took them in poor light. I didn't take them through the day as I was busy crafting with Vicki. Thanks Vicki, I had a great day and yes you are very 'special' ;p
The lovely Annemarie and Merit from Holland sent some lovely images to me. Thanks again girls. They are great to colour. They are called 'Snoesjes' and here is one of them. Annemarie tells me that this one is holding the dutch flower 'Narcissen'. They have orange centres and yellow petals and grow in the Spring.

So I will just have to enter this card into the Spring Challenge set 'By The Cute And Girly'.

This card is going to be sent to a family friend who will be celebrating her 50th birthday next month. Yes, I am prepared!

And I am also hooked on these Joy Fold Cards thanks to the 'other' Kylie! So easy and I love them.

Hope you're all having a great day!

On a roll!!

I am on a roll!!
I have made 2 more cards. This one and another Joy Fold Card.
I started making this one to a sketch but my image was too big, so I changed it around to fit.
I just love this Anya image so I thought I'd enter it into the Anyone for Anya Challenge. (I better go and check it hasn't closed!)

I used to make these flowers for my scrapbook pages and it's a good way to use up the scraps you have left over.
I coloured this image way back when Jackie was still here :( When I went to visit her in Canberra, she let me play with the Big Shot. That's how I cut this cutie out, along with a few others.
I will show you my next creation tomorrow!

Joy Fold Card

Well thanks to the 'other' Kylie, I made one of her joy fold cards. Kylie has a tutorial on these on her blog here.

I am entering this into the Magnolia Down Under Challenge. They have a recipe this week of 3 papers, 3 flowers, 2 buttons and 1 bow.
Check, check, check & check. Done ;)

This is the card opened. I decided to turn mine on an angle. You can have yours straight if you wish. It's all up to you!
This card was so much fun and so easy I'm off to make another one!
Thanks to the 'other' Kylie!!

Baby Card

Hi there. A quick post today. Just letting you know I'm still here ;)
I've been busy. I know it's Autumn but I've been doing some 'spring cleaning' and some rearranging. I've given up trying to clean my craft desk. Even after making just 1 card, you can't see my desk! I work better in a mess so I've decided to leave it and concentrate on the rest of the house!
Here is a card I made for my dear friend and her family after having her 3rd child last week.
"Welcome Shelby"

I made this when my desk was clean and I just couldn't find anything! This is a Pollycraft digi image called Family. I've inked around all the edges and then did some faux stitching with my white gel pen. Something I haven't done in a while so it was good. I've kept this card fairly simple as Kerrie is a more contemporary kinda girl. Maybe that's why I messed up the edges a bit, you know, just to tease her :)

Well after all of that, it wasn't such a quick post after all!!

Hope you're all having a great day.

Whiff of Joy Challenge

*THIS IS MY 2ND POST TODAY. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO THE 1ST*
I know! 2 in 1 day! Unheard of :)
I wanted to join the Whiff of Joy Challenge this week and play with my new stamp. I didn't realise it ended tomorrow! So I quickly whipped this up tonight.

They had a sketch to follow this week and I think I followed it to a 'T'.
I used a card paper pack from Bec's online store. I coloured the image with my copics and then paper pieced the shopping bags and boots.
Whew! I should be able to sleep tonight as I'm exhausted!

"Happy Birthday Handsome"

I wasn't going to post this just yet as it's for my partner's birthday which is in a couple of weeks time. As he is deployed at the moment, it will take a little while to get there, so I have to have it in the post by today. Hopefully it will reach him in time!
"Haapy Birthday!"

The image is from Sassy Studio Designs called 'Big Heart' and I've coloured her with my copics. As you can see I'm still learning how to blend my reds. They are the hardest colours to use and I find they bleed more than the others. Oh well, I will just have to practice using my copics more ;p No problem!

Gate fold card

After seeing Kellie's Gate Fold card I just had to make one. (she almost 'dared' me to make one ;p )
So here is mine.
The template is from Leann's Crafty Ramblings.

I used the SU Bella Rose DSP with the SU Riding Hood Red ribbon and filigree brads.

This is the card open.
I used a couple of SU sentiments stamped in Kiwi Kiss ink. The border punch is a Martha Stewart punch.
So much fun to make and so easy. Wasn't quite sure how to attach the ribbon so if you have an idea I would love to hear it.
So there Kellie, dare done! ;p
