NOOOO! Is it possible??

So sorry to leave you all stranded here on my lonely blog. My family and I have had such a whirlwind last few months to put it mildly and I’m trying to connect back with the things that I love and that bring me joy. Of course colouring is one of these things BUT when I sat down to colour I hit a blank! What colours were my ‘go to’ colours, how do I blend, HOW DO I COLOUR??? Was it possible that I had forgotten how to colour with my precious Copics?? NOOOOO!! LOL.
Let me tell you it was NOT like riding a bike. I couldn’t get back on and remember how to do it. I really did struggle.
I made 2 cards for special birthdays and I wanted to share them with you regardless of the struggles I had trying to remember my love of copics Smile

P3088492

This one I made for a special little girl who was turning 4. Such a fun and bright card to make. I also tried the new (new to me!) watercolour background. I was even stumped on how to piece a card together. I went for my favourites to save me of buttons, bling, flowers and lace and made what I thought to be a fresh and fun card.
The image is ‘Ellie’s Birthday” from Saturated Canary.

I’m going to enter this into the following challenges just for fun!!

Creative Inspirations – Spring colours
Cute Card Thursday – Anything Goes
Stampin’ for the weekend – Child’s play

I think I’ll save my other card so I have something to show you again in a few days time!
Thanks for stopping by.

Been Awhile :)

WOW! I cannot believe that Christmas is almost upon us and I’ve barely started shopping! We’ve also asked Santa if we could have our Christmas a little early so the kiddlins and myself can drive down to Victoria to spend the ‘real’ Christmas day with family we haven’t seen in quite a few years! I can’t wait to meet their extended families and chat, chat, chat……..
I’m late in getting some birthday cards out too and it’s been soooo long since I’ve created a card to share with you all. I needed some therapy today so thought I would join in the fun over at Magnolia Down Under Challenges with Kylie’s sketch.

I’d coloured this cutie up awhile ago so it was just calling out for me to give it a home. I also had no baby boy cards left in my stash so why not?  A few of my favourite things were added and da dah!! hee hee.
Have you finished your Christmas shopping? No, don’t tell me. I better get moving then hey?! lol.
Thanks for stopping by my little blog and I hope you’re having a great day!

Sweet Sixteen!!

Just wanted to share the card I made for my beautiful daughter’s 16th birthday.
I didn’t even start this card until THE DAY of her birthday as I wasn’t feeling that well. I let her pick out the image and I’m so proud she picked a Saturated Canary image “Hippie Love”. This is the first time I’ve coloured this cutie up as well and she was fun to do.

I used some Webster’s Pages, lace, bling and rose ribbon I got from WOC.
We all went out for dinner and then came home to an awesome mud cake which was soooo rich but delicious.

I can’t believe my little girl is growing up this quickly but very proud of the beautiful and caring young lady she’s becoming. That’s not to say that she’s not your typical teenager though!! lol.

Hope you all have a great week and hope you stay cool if her in OZ as our hot weather is here! Yay!!

50 and not out!

My completed ‘commissioned’ card thanks with the help of my gorgeous crafty friends!
I had to make a card for someone who was turning 50 and the lady wanted a cricket image on the front. Well I never knew it would be so hard to find one!! There is everything else but cricket images out there. I put out a plea asking for help and my friends came through for me. Thank goodness for that as I don’t like to disappoint people. Then of course comes the stress of if they ‘like it’. We all have such different tastes and perceptions on how certain things should look, so I hope this will do the job Smile

I’m still not sure on how much I can ‘bling’ up a male card but I just luuurve buttons and so they managed to find their way on there…in a manly way of course Winking smile

I'm entering this into Sentimental Sunday Challenge. I have 3 papers, 2 binding, 1 brad and a sentiment. Check!

Well I better go and wash my clothes AGAIN!! We have a puppy (LARGE puppy) with us and it decided to have fun with the clothes on the washing line. Gggggrrrrrr. Needless to say it’s now going to go back where she’s supposed to be!! YAY.

Step back in time!

I was asked to make a 20’s style 40th birthday card in greens and blues. Well what image could be better than the gorgeous “Lil Lolita 20’s Evie”?? She’s just so sweet and a dream to colour.

P9168076

I added a few of my favourite things such as pearls, lace, flowers and a charm.
Thank goodness they loved it. I’m always nervous when I’m asked to make something for someone as our tastes vary so much from styles and colours. Phew!! lol.

I’m entering this card into the following challenges.

I hope the Aussie mum’s out there are enjoying the school holidays. We have family visiting us today so I better finish cleaning! GGRRR.

Bite Me!

Here’s a card I made a little while ago and actually loved the way it turned out.
The image is from Mo’s Digital Pencil and is called ‘Bite’.

P8038013

There are 5 different dies used on this card including the 2 circle dies. They’re also ones that get missed in my stash, so I’m happy I remembered them for this card. Using the black has made it more dramatic so quite appropriate really that this is going to a teenager!! lol.

I’m entering this in Mo’s Digital Challenge Blog this week who are looking for dies/punches.
Hope you’re all well and crafting madly Smile

Damn You Blogger!!

Blogger has done it once again and lost all my pictures! Yes, it’s driving me crazy, or crazier, you decide. hee hee.

I’ve used Windows Live Writer on my last 2 posts and these pictures are still visible. (cross fingers, touch wood). So I’ll keep writing up my posts via WLW and see how things go.

I really dislike my images disappearing as my blog is like a book of works for all my creativeness that now you along with myself can no longer view. GGRRRR!!!

Ok, rant over Smile

Hugs, Kylie xx

Hugs and Kisses

I couldn’t resist this little cutie from Mo’s Digital Pencil.
I haven’t coloured many dark skinned images so thought this would be a good one to practice on.

P9198078

I’ve followed Kylie’s sketch over at Sketchy Challenges. A great one to follow!

I’ve added lace, ribbon, flowers, dress charm, pearls and of course ‘love’. hee hee.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have an awesome day!!

Made some Father’s Day Cards!

I seem to struggle a lot with making ‘male’ cards but I found them a little easier using these images from Pollycraft! I love to load up my cards with lace, bling, pearls and flowers but men just don’t seem to like these on their cards too much? hee hee.

I still managed to sneak a few little pretties on them but NO bling!!

I hope all the Dad’s have a great Father’s Day this Sunday Smile
