Pollycraft Freebies

Happy Sunday everyone.

I was busy last night creating this card for Pollycraft. They are on the search for new DT members and so I thought 'why not?' This is a freebie at the moment, Codi stylin' as well as a cute little duck holding a cupcake.

I thought I'd do this card a little different. I used some papers that my gorgeous friend Jackie (hi Jack!) gave me when I went to visit her. Cute aren't they! I colourd Codi in with my copics. I kept her 'girlie' with a bit of a grunge look. I've still put flowers on the card with a bit of glitter so she's still 'glam'. The flowers are from Bec's online store. The sentiment is also from Pollycraft.
This one I think is called 'Cake'.

I'm not a huge fan of yellow so I thought I'd do a greyish white duck. I still think he looks cute. I put a tad of glitter on the flame of the candle and put crystal effects on the icing for the cake.
This sentiment is also from Pollycraft.

Hope you're all having a great weekend!

Just for challenges

Wow, I have just seen that this is my 100th post! I should've made a birthday card for myself. lol. Well I suppose in a way I have. Pinks, greens and chocolates are my favourite!!
I looked around at a couple of challenges to do. I found a sketch at Totally Gorjuss only then to find out it was last weeks! The challenge this week is 'something sweet'. Phew, I still did the sketch but changed my paper.

I'm also going to enter the Town Scrapper Challenge for the 1st time. There challenge is '3 buttons'. (luuuurve buttons). Over at Pollycraft they have asked for distressing.
Well after all of that, it's like these challenges were MADE FOR ME!!
I love distressing, buttons and all things sweet. I even used a sweet Gorjuss Girl stamp called 'sitting'.
Have a great weekend everyone and thanks for taking the time to drop by!

Snoesjes

First of all, sorry about the photos. I think the shimmer made it difficult and I took them in poor light. I didn't take them through the day as I was busy crafting with Vicki. Thanks Vicki, I had a great day and yes you are very 'special' ;p
The lovely Annemarie and Merit from Holland sent some lovely images to me. Thanks again girls. They are great to colour. They are called 'Snoesjes' and here is one of them. Annemarie tells me that this one is holding the dutch flower 'Narcissen'. They have orange centres and yellow petals and grow in the Spring.

So I will just have to enter this card into the Spring Challenge set 'By The Cute And Girly'.

This card is going to be sent to a family friend who will be celebrating her 50th birthday next month. Yes, I am prepared!

And I am also hooked on these Joy Fold Cards thanks to the 'other' Kylie! So easy and I love them.

Hope you're all having a great day!

On a roll!!

I am on a roll!!
I have made 2 more cards. This one and another Joy Fold Card.
I started making this one to a sketch but my image was too big, so I changed it around to fit.
I just love this Anya image so I thought I'd enter it into the Anyone for Anya Challenge. (I better go and check it hasn't closed!)

I used to make these flowers for my scrapbook pages and it's a good way to use up the scraps you have left over.
I coloured this image way back when Jackie was still here :( When I went to visit her in Canberra, she let me play with the Big Shot. That's how I cut this cutie out, along with a few others.
I will show you my next creation tomorrow!

Joy Fold Card

Well thanks to the 'other' Kylie, I made one of her joy fold cards. Kylie has a tutorial on these on her blog here.

I am entering this into the Magnolia Down Under Challenge. They have a recipe this week of 3 papers, 3 flowers, 2 buttons and 1 bow.
Check, check, check & check. Done ;)

This is the card opened. I decided to turn mine on an angle. You can have yours straight if you wish. It's all up to you!
This card was so much fun and so easy I'm off to make another one!
Thanks to the 'other' Kylie!!

Baby Card

Hi there. A quick post today. Just letting you know I'm still here ;)
I've been busy. I know it's Autumn but I've been doing some 'spring cleaning' and some rearranging. I've given up trying to clean my craft desk. Even after making just 1 card, you can't see my desk! I work better in a mess so I've decided to leave it and concentrate on the rest of the house!
Here is a card I made for my dear friend and her family after having her 3rd child last week.
"Welcome Shelby"

I made this when my desk was clean and I just couldn't find anything! This is a Pollycraft digi image called Family. I've inked around all the edges and then did some faux stitching with my white gel pen. Something I haven't done in a while so it was good. I've kept this card fairly simple as Kerrie is a more contemporary kinda girl. Maybe that's why I messed up the edges a bit, you know, just to tease her :)

Well after all of that, it wasn't such a quick post after all!!

Hope you're all having a great day.

Whiff of Joy Challenge

*THIS IS MY 2ND POST TODAY. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO THE 1ST*
I know! 2 in 1 day! Unheard of :)
I wanted to join the Whiff of Joy Challenge this week and play with my new stamp. I didn't realise it ended tomorrow! So I quickly whipped this up tonight.

They had a sketch to follow this week and I think I followed it to a 'T'.
I used a card paper pack from Bec's online store. I coloured the image with my copics and then paper pieced the shopping bags and boots.
Whew! I should be able to sleep tonight as I'm exhausted!

"Happy Birthday Handsome"

I wasn't going to post this just yet as it's for my partner's birthday which is in a couple of weeks time. As he is deployed at the moment, it will take a little while to get there, so I have to have it in the post by today. Hopefully it will reach him in time!
"Haapy Birthday!"

The image is from Sassy Studio Designs called 'Big Heart' and I've coloured her with my copics. As you can see I'm still learning how to blend my reds. They are the hardest colours to use and I find they bleed more than the others. Oh well, I will just have to practice using my copics more ;p No problem!

Gate fold card

After seeing Kellie's Gate Fold card I just had to make one. (she almost 'dared' me to make one ;p )
So here is mine.
The template is from Leann's Crafty Ramblings.

I used the SU Bella Rose DSP with the SU Riding Hood Red ribbon and filigree brads.

This is the card open.
I used a couple of SU sentiments stamped in Kiwi Kiss ink. The border punch is a Martha Stewart punch.
So much fun to make and so easy. Wasn't quite sure how to attach the ribbon so if you have an idea I would love to hear it.
So there Kellie, dare done! ;p
