Mother's Day

Trying to find my mojo and get back into my love of copics and card creating again.
I bought this sweet little bird cage die to help spark some creativeness. (any excuse to buy more crafty goodies right?!)

I had already coloured this gorgeous Magnolia image a little while ago. I actually coloured up 4 as we had a terrible storm and ended up having no power for 3 days. My girls and I sat at the kitchen table colouring together. A moment to treasure :)
It's really hard to try and piece a card together after not being in the groove of it for so long but I had fun playing. Especially when I had a new die to play with!
I sent this to my Mum for Mother's Day and she loved it which is all that matters.

I've entered my creation into a first challenge for a couple of years. Eeeiikkk!! lol

Hello Sweet Maggie!

It's been so long since I've coloured up one of my lovely Maggies! This one is still one of my favourite Magnolia stamps as she seems so calming. Or maybe I'm just feeling calm as I've had my hit of therapy colouring her up this week! hee hee.

The little sentiment reads "Yes I'm just a diamonds girl"

Here she is with her matching tag ready to give to a precious friend!

I'm entering this cutie into the following challenges...

I hope you all have a fabulous day. I'm off to school to help out with the kiddies today!

A quick post!

Just quickly wanted to share 1 of the many baby cards I"m to make. It seems there's a baby boom on at the moment!! No and don't go looking at me! lol. They are lovely to hold though ;)

I made this one a litlle while ago and just waiting for that right gift to accompany the card in the post!

Hummm, don't mind the little bit of bling that decided not to sit right on the butterfly will you? lol. I'm a little ashamed to say I hadn't even inked up this cutie before but I've made it all right with the universe now, haven't I?
I love the bib bling which reads "Spit happens". hee hee.

What a trip to school this morning!! My little girl and I both got absolutely drenched!! I had to make a trip back home to get her some dry clothes for school. In the meantime my runners are drying out. Do you know how uncomfortable it is squelching around in your runners?? We're both dry now and ov course it's only a light shower out there now. School pick up time I'm sure will be a different story!!

Anyhow, so much for a 'quick' post. Sorry (:

Fun card for some challenges

I've created todays card with a Hanglar and Stanglar image I'd coloured quite some time ago. So yes, I'm still creating cards with my goal of using images already coloured and papers in my stash!! Go me!
I've used the sketch over at The Sketchy Challenge blog this week.

I love these little wooden heart buttons I found. They're the perfect size for card making :) Added some lace, vintage seam binding, tag, flowers and pearls. Oh and of course some liquid pearls!!

I'm also entering these challenges...

Odd one out?

Thougt I'd pop into blog land here for a bit to show you what I've been up to!
It's all Debbie's fault. lol. She'd created some gorgeous candles a little while back that inspired me to give it a go. I love doing these so much that I've decided to make some for our local market this weekend. I figure if they don't sell then our home will be filled with beautiful candles for Christmas ;)

Can you pick the odd one out? I've got that song from Sesame Street stuck in my head! "One of these things doesn't belong here, one of things isn't quite the same......" lol.

Did you find it?
Obviously I've flooded the candles with the gorgeous images from Magnolia but at the last minute remembered the digi image from Krista at Saturated Canary.
I think she looks lovely on a decorated candle.

These are for teacher's christmas gifts but made a larger one for our family to keep.

Thanks Debalicious!! If you need some inspiration then pop over to Debbie's blog here and tell her I said 'Hi'.

I'm also entering this into the Magnolia Down Under Challenge which is to make a Christmas Ornament. Does this count?

Another 'Just Because' Card

I'm loving the opportunity to be able craft just for 'fun'. This means making a card just because I can and I want to! There's something very therapeutic about mindlessly colouring with my copics.
It's been awhile since I coloured up a Maggie and I wanted to give this one some dark red/auburn locks. Mainly because I always go for the trusty browns! lol.
I've drawn some inspiration from the extremely talented Debbie Pamment. I've been wanting to make a different type of fold card and Debbie's creation certainly gave me some!

So here is my card!

I followed Marianne's tutorial for her 'Magic Card'.

I've also found these challenges to enter it.

Another Maggie, another Mission card done!!

That's right! I've finished another card using images already stamped out and papers in my stash! I'm definitely getting into my goal!
I loved the Sweet Shop's sketch so much, I've decided to go with it again on this card.

I'm also entering the challenge this week at Just Magnolia for their 'Birthday theme'.

A 'Just Because' card

Just quickly wanted to share my card with you.
I'm still trying to use up paper I have stashed away along with images that I've stamped up and never ussed.
This is a Magnolia image that I love but being Easter themed you have a slight window of opportunity each year to use it! My next mission, (if I chose to accept it!) will be to use themed images and make them into a 'different themed' card. Such as this one I could make it a birthday card or welcome home to a new addition!
Anyhow, enough ranting. Here's my card.

I'm also going to enter this into the Just Magnolia Challenge as I used their sketch to help me this week.

Still on my mission!

It feels like forever since I made a girly card so I decided to use 2 of my new Magnolia stamps.
My mission has been to use papers that I already have so these papers were from my Taylor Grace stash.

I do have some newbies on here though. hee hee. I've used my new MS border punch and the new Magnolia Rose leaves die. Well they're not papers!! lol.
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend of crafting!

Happy Birthday to youuu,

Happy Birthday dear Kristyyyyyy,

Happy Birthday to youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!"

(sorry that sounded so bad. I can't even hold a note in the shower!)
Here is your present! Grab this and put it on your blog. If you have already seen this somewhere, I'm sure it's already being proudly displayed. It's what all Princesses should have on their birthdays ;)

This is my card to you for your birthday Kristy!

If you have arrived here from the very talented Jodie's blog, you are doin' great!

Well I've finally done it. I cased my own card!

Well sort of. A very long and boring story cut short (you can thank me later), I tried to make a Princess Tilda card for you Kristy. I really loved how this one turned out and decided to case it. Mmmm, err, well, it, it's in the bin. BUT, you get the original!! Whoo hoo!

No, no, no details, it's in the bin where it belongs for your own protection :)
Wishing you an absolutely 'royal' birthday Princess, surrounded by friends and family. I hope you get everything you wish for and more.
The trail doesn't end here. Head on over now to Blondie! She is sure to have a super surprise waiting for you too!

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRISTY!"

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #47

Well I like this weeks MDUC much better ;)
This week we are looking for 'Shaped Cards'.

So for this card I dusted off the Cricut machine. And guess what? It still works. lol.
I cut out 2 crown shapes to form a princess crown card. Just what a princess needs.
I covered it in some Basic Grey dp 'porcelain' and sponged all the edges with 'pretty in pink' ink.
I edged it all with Diamond Stickles I got from Delicious Papercrafting and added some bling and lace from my stash.
Tickled Pink Stamps have some of the Magnolia Fairy Tale Collection and also some beautiful new embellies and stamps.

So I hope you can join us this week over at Magnolia Down Under Challenges. Can't wait to see what you create.
Be sure to get some inspiration from the DT girls. Their creations are awesome!!

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #45

Wow, was this ever a 'challenge' for me to complete.
Paper tole and cutting are NOT my thing! I can't believe the struggle and frustration I had making this card. And that's why they're called challenges!!

Magnolia Down Under Challenges this week has called for Paper Tole. Mount and make your images 3D.

This is a photo on the side so you could see the layers. Look at all that cutting out! My friend Jackie would be proud. Jackie is the 'Cutting Queen"!

The papers I've used are Webster's Pages available from Delicious Papercrafting. I've coloured Jam Tilda with my copics and the ribbon was a little find while at the markets this past weekend. It did come up a little bright in the photo though. The stamp is one I've had for a long time "Sending you happy everything".
Well if you're looking for a challenge this week, this is it!! Well it certainly was for me anyway!
Head on over to Magnolia Down Under Challenges to check out the DT girls gorgeous cards. They didn't seem to struggle at all! Bless 'em.
To all the Mums out there, I hope you all have a super special Mother's Day today. May your coffee be hot and toast not burnt ;)

Monochromatic Card

Don't you just love the new Fairy Tale collection from Magnolia? I do!
I started making this card for a challenge and then it turned out to be for 2 'other' challenges instead.

I've never done a Monochromatic card before so I hope this is ok for the Mad 4 Markers challenge.
I'm also entering it into Sketch Saturday Challenge as I've used their sketch to make this card.
Well I better try and do the challenge card that I started to make in the beginning!

Magnolia Down Under Challenge - Charms

It's my week to join in the fun over at Magnolia Down Under Challenge Blog.
This week the challenge is to use charms.
I used this gorgeous little tulip charm I found in my stash.
I coloured this gorgeous little Tilda with my copics and in good company of Jackie. Jackie and her 2 adorable children have now left and gone back home to Canberra :( Yes, many tears were shed but we had a wonderful time. A little crafting, a little colouring, a little drinking, a little laughing and a whole lot of chatting!
The patterned papers and gorgeous flowers are from Tickled Pink Stamps.
Jump on over to the Magnolia Down Under Blog to check out the inspiring creations from the other DT girls and to join in the fun!

Tilda Curtsy Princess

I just love this new image from Magnolia. This is 'Curtsy Princess' and she'll be making an appearance at Tickled Pink Stamps soon.

I followed the sketch from 'Friday Sketchers'. I loved it.
I coloured her with my copics and then added diamonds to her shoes, gloves, skirt and of course her tiara.
Kellie from Tickled Pink Stamps challenged us to make an easel card this week. So here is mine. I've used the gorgeous Magnolia papers which are also available from Tickled Pink Stamps.
I also distressed the edges of cardstock.

The lace and large flowers are from my stash and the ribbon, pearl ribbon slide, rose and gorgeous pink heart pin are all from Bizzy Bec's online store.

Well I'm off to get ready for the day. I have my beautiful friend Jackie and her 2 youngest children here today. We're to make some plans but don't worry, we've set aside time for some colouring with our copics today along with a couple of drinks for tonight ;) Lovin' it!

I hope everyone has a great day.

Tilda with Lamb

Mad 4 Markers are having their 1st challenge on their blog and I just had to enter. Who wouldn't want to win the fabulous prize that Sammi has on offer? What is it? Jump on over and check it out!!
M4M challenge is a colour challenge. You had to use Eoo, R20 & BG15.

I just had to colour up this gorgeous Tilda with Lamb image that is available from Tickled Pink Stamps. Kellie has a huge sale on too. Bargains everywhere!!
These are the copic colours I used. Yep, I'm too lazy to write them all down so I just took a pic. :) hee hee.

I added some diamond glitter to Tilda's dress and hair ties and then some stickles to the handmade flower that I made using the left over scraps of paper.
I also copied the great sketch they have over at Friday Sketchers. I'll be doing this one again. I loved it.
I'm not sure when I'll be posting again, maybe some scheduled ones. My man is coming home tomorrow night after being deployed for 4 months!! Whoo hoo!
So he's missed Christmas, New Year, DS 16th Birthday, his own birthday, Easter and his DD's 1st dance class lesson. He's also to meet some new additons to the family. His youngest brother and his wife had their 1st child just after he left and his older brother and his wife are awaiting the arrival of their 2nd child. SIL is overdue, so any day now!!
I hope you all have a fabulous week!!
