Love Anya

I just love my new Anya stamps from The Greeting Farm. They just seem calming.
Once again I've used copics to colour but these shades are from Jackie's collection until I can add more to mine. Thanks Jack.

The cs is from SU and is Old Olive and Really Rust. The printed paper is from Bec as is the rose and the butterfly.
Hope you all have a lovely day stamping.

No Pinks!

Yes, still loving copics. I am learning to breathe gently out of my nose now when I colour. Go me!! (Still no large areas for the moment though).
I wanted to do a 'pink' card for Jackie's dear Nan who is having a birthday on rememberance day. "Happy Birthday Mammy!"
I asked Jack what her favourite colour was and the answer was pink. I wanted to use my new Anya stamp (isn't she gorgeous!) and decided to do a pink card of course. BUT guess what? I HAVE NO PINK COPICS!! Can you believe that. MY fav colour combo is pink and green and yet I have no pink copics. (except for R20 for the cheeks of course).
I told you I need more copics. Look out Christmas!
I made do with what I had and so used my beautiful greens and then incorporated pinks with papers and embellishments. The beautiful pink and white roses are from Bec's store along with the patterned papers.

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend. It's meant to be raining here again tomorrow so I'll just have to stay inside and stamp. (whoo hoo).

Halloween Goodie Boxes

Just a quick post today. I wanted to show you the goodie bags I made for my daughter's Halloween themed birthday party. They were filled with 'eyeballs', 'ears', 'tongues', 'spider rings', 'zombie chews' and a few other goodies.

These were made before I got my copics. I so appreciate now what the copics are capable of. Yes I still luuurrve them and very busy practicing. I had a fabulous day yesterday 'practicing' with Jackie and Vicki. Thanks girls. (and of course a lot of chatting!) I sooo have to get more. It was great being able to share the other girl's copics and using some different colours. At the moment I am just rearranging colours to make each image 'appear' to be coloured differently. My eyes are hanging out of my head as I just can't seem to put the copics down, hence the late nights!!
I am starting to 'breathe' now when I colour but I discovered yesterday I can't colour and talk at the same time!
More practice please girls!!!

More Copics

I NEED MORE!
Yes I need more 'health hazards' (copics). I'm trying to colour some different images in and get some pracitce using my new babies but I don't even have my favourite colour of pink! I wonder if my family really need to eat this week? Well I know I would survive on my copics alone. lol.
I made this card for Anne-Maree's birthday. "Happy Birthday!"
I've used a stamp image the lovely Bec sent to me. The beautiful patterned paper and flowers are from Bec's online shop. Here. The other paper is Stampin' Up's So Saffron and Bashful Blue. SU So Saffron ribbon and sentiment. The pin was in my stash.

Congrats also to Jackie who had a fantastic Christmas workshop yesterday. Hope we get another one in before you leave. :(

Copic Warning!

Well I've finally gone and done it. Yes, I've invested in some copics and I am in luuurvve. lol. Thanks to my dear friend Jackie, she guided me through the huge list of shades and I ordered the basics. (well for now anyway!).
I have discovered though that they are a health risk. Don't be alarmed as it probably only happens to me. I don't BREATHE while I am colouring!! Jackie was kind enough to give me some leasons the other night (thanks Jack), and every time I stopped colouring I realised that I had been holding my breath! Maybe I can only do one thing at a time and because I was concentrating so hard I actually forgot to breathe! I'm sure in time with some practice I will be able to do these 2 things together. (otherwise no 'big' areas to colour for me!) lol.
I coloured one image in my favourite colour combo of pinks and greens. (ok it took an hour!! Well I had to stop for breath breaks!)
I haven't made that into a card as yet.
This card I'm showing you is an image I coloured when I got home from my teacher's house. So this is my first card put together using copics (which I should fondly name my 'health hazards")
I gave this card to Jackie today as she was my inspiration. I think it only fair she should be the receiver of my first copics card. Love ya Jack! xo
Don't look too closely but let me know what you think. Should I order more 'health hazards'?

My Daughter's Creation

When I was trying to finish the Wedding card below, my 13 yr old daughter sat beside me begging me for something to colour. Miki (Mikaela) also loves the Gorjuss Girl stamps and so picked this one.
I let her loose on some papers and she helped herself to my inks. This is what she came up with. I was very proud of her. She sat quietly and completed it with only a couple of questions. She wants to give it to her 'bestie' for her birthday but she now has to wait until December to pass it on. She has already written on the inside or I would show you that too as she has decorated that also with the same paper as on the front. Her favourite parts were the bright yellow boots and the buttons. (mmmm, I love buttons too!)

Well done sweetie!!

Wedding Card

Look familiar?

Can you remember my very 1st post? (OK so maybe YOU don't but I do as it was so scary!!)

This one is very similar with a few minor changes.
I made this wedding card into an envelope pocket card as I needed to add some money. The bride and groom had a 'Wishing Well' for guests to put money into in replace of gifts.

We attended the wedding of Nikita and Scott yesterday (Sunday) in the Hunter Valley NSW. It was a beautiful ceremony and yes I had tears in my eyes as did many others. The bride was simply stunning, the bridesmaids were gorgeous dressed in pink and the groom and groomsmen looked very handsome in black suits. Congratulations Nik and Scott and thank you so much for including us in your celebrations. We had a blast.
(I will post a pic when I work out my partner's camera as it's new).
Speaking of my partner, here he is. This is Phil. We are rarely in a photo together and so my daughter (also camera happy!) jumped at the chance to take our picture.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

I'm Back!!

Yes I am back!! Early though I might add.
A very long story cut short is my partnter's car broke down (cracked head. The car, not my partner lol). So I had to drive him from country Vic back to NSW ready for work this past Monday. His car is going to take 2 weeks to repair so he will have to fly back to Vic to then drive it home here to NSW. We had 2 cars down there as I was staying longer with the kids and to spend more time with family and friends.
More bad luck (we seem to have had our fair share this past week), we had no phone connection when we returned home which also meant no internet connection. But look, it's back on. Yay. Although today our electricity is being cut off between the hours of 7.30am to 3.30pm as they are working on the lines. Yes, this story does continue but I have happier things to talk about and I'm sure most of you are already yawning!!
On with my creation.
I made this for my Mum for her birthday. I couldn't post it before I left for holidays as she would have seen it on my blog before I had a chance to give it to her for her birthday.
This is the front.
I can't find where I found this but will definately find it for you. (If you recognise this let me know so I can pass on the credit). (Note: This is a kwerner creation)

This is the 2nd and 3rd pages.

This is showing you how the tags slide out.

These are the last pages.
I have added little vellum 'Mother sayings' on the tags and a poem on the back page. The last big tag in the back has a photo of Mum and myself when I was only a baby.
I loved putting this project together. Not only because it was quite simple but it was made with a purpose for someone very special. I hope you like it Mum and Happy Birthday!!
