Friend's Birthday

"Happy Birthday Caz"
This card is being sent down to Victoria to my beautiful friend who loves blue and all things nature. I hope you like it Caz and that you had a wonderful day.
Yay, finally I get to do a female card, so of course I had to have another play with my current favourite stamps from Stampin' Up, "Friends 24-7".
I tried doing the faux linen technique on the white square. Now that I know what I'm doing, I'm sure it'll work out a lot better next time.
I'm off to the Gold Coast this weekend for another girlfriend's wedding. I'm so excited just to be doing something different and getting out of the house on my own. It is only for 2 nights but yay!! I can't wait to catch up with everyone as I haven't seen them for quite some time, so I'm sure I'll use all my word credits up in the first hour!!
I hope you like my GIRL card.

2 More Male Birthdays Today

Yes, I am still making male birthday cards but all in all it hasn't been that bad. I love making cards and gifts for people, especially good friends, so at least it has given me an excuse to sit at my craft desk and create.
This first card is for 'Our Matt'. Matt is turning the big 10 today. "Happy Birthday" mate. We hope you enjoy your yummy birthday dinner tonight.
This next card I've used the SU 'Circle Circus' stamp set with the colours, basic grey, sahara sand and black. I sort of cased it from the talented Louise Ryan but changed the colours and the layout slightly. This card is for a neighbour who only moved into our street this year and already both families have become good friends.
This last card is also for the same neighbour but I've made it for his wife and son to give to him. It also contains some little IOU cards for him to use, at his wife's request of course ;)
"Happy Birthday 'D' ".

Stand Up Card

Yes, another male birthday card. 3 down, 5 to go.
This one is being sent to my brother in-law in Victoria for his 40th Birthday. Himself and his beautiful family have their own piece of Aussie turf so I thought the SU "lovely as a tree" stamp set was quite appropriate.
The photo makes it look a bit neat & tidy, but it's fairly roughed up and sponged in choc chip all over the edges. I found up some older papers I had on hand and mixed in some Stampin Up products to create this. I got the dimensions for the 'stand up card' from photobucket.
Ingredients:
CS: (some old stuff), SU's Handsome Hunter, Night of Navy & Chocolate Chip.
INKS: Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke & Old Olive.
Stamp Sets: Lovely as a Tree, Lovely Letters Alphabet.
Accessories: Clear embossing, brads, dimensionals.

Poppy's Card - Take 2

Well I must be tired. After standing back and looking at Pop's card my eyes started going crazy. Was it that I'm just so tired or was it those diagonal stripes? I enlisted the help of Jackie (yet again) and she agreed that it was the stripes. So we decided to add Sahara Sand with the fern imaged stamped on the background. Standing back for the second look, all I can see are those diagonal stripes. Sorry Pop but this is it. I know he's going to love it no matter what but we are our own biggest critics. As long as Pop gets his big cuddles and smooches he'll be happy:)

Poppy's Card

In the month of July I have 10 cards to make. Out of these 10 I have to make 8 male cards! This is going to be a huge task for me but I have already accomplished 2.

I thought they turned out fairly good but I am lacking sleep at the moment, so just to finish a card at this point excites me.
I used the SU Colour Wheel to help me with this card. I've used Really Rust, Night of Navy, Mellow Moss & Whisper White cardstock. Mellow Moss & Really Rust Inks. SU Stamp sets: 'Organic Grace' & 'Party Punch". Mellow Moss ribbon and the brads are from my own stash.
This card is for our 'adopted' Poppy. It's his birthday tomorrow so "Happy Birthday Pop".
This card is for a 40th. It took awhile for me to sit and figure this one out but I eventually got there.
I've sponged the Whisper White cs with chalks after stamping the 'Lovely as a Tree' Stamp Set. I stamped the truck out of the 'Loads of Love' Stamp Set onto some brown dsp and then cut it out. I like the jumbo eyelets as the wheels but as you can see I've used them for the twine down the side, so I've used some black buttons instead.

Best Wishes to everyone celebrating their birthday this month. It certainly seems to be a popular month.

I made the first card while my baby girl was asleep on the lounge. She's keeping her tiny bits of food down today at least so hopefully she's on the mend. If not, I did promise her worrisome Daddy that I'd take her to see a Doctor.

Little Goth Girl

Well I said I'd be back with a fun project and this was definitely fun.

I had a colouring lesson from my patient friend Jackie. I coloured this beautiful "Little Goth Girl" with the help from Jackie of course, and this is how it turned out. I just love the Gorjuss girl collection so I will keep practicing so I can show you some more. As you've probably guessed from my blog already, I love pink, green and buttons.

Hopefully I will be able to bring you something soon but I have my little girl still fighting off some kind of bug and not doing so well. We are into day 4 and she's still not eating but drinking plenty of fluids so I'm not too worried just yet. (her Daddy is though, so cute).

Sympathy Cards

It's never nice to have to send someone a sympathy card but this week I've had to send 2.

Thanks to my beautiful friend Jackie, I've borrowed the Stampin Up Stamp Set 'Thoughts and Prayers'. (This is a very special privilege as her stamps are very precious to her). I created these cards using Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and Ruby Red.

I hope these cards help the healing process letting them know that they are not alone.

I don't like leaving this on a sad note so keep checking in for a 'fun' project to lighten and brighten the mood. (Of course I have no idea what this is going to be so it will be a nice surprise for all of us!)

Keep creating, Kylie. xo
