For 'Fun' card

I haven't forgotten the personal challenge I set myself a few months back. It was to use the papers and coloured images up in my stash.

Well today I did both and made a fun challenge card at the same time!

This adorable image from Hanglar and Stanglar has been coloured up and sitting patiently in my container for 'ages'. Poor little darlin' :(

These papers were my utmost favourite from Stampin' Up and I had them stashed away for no other reason but 'I didn't want to use the 'special' paper!!! Well what else am I going to do with it if I don't use it?? lol.

So I've used a pre-coloured image and a stash of old papers to create a card using the sketch over at Sketch Saturday.

Go me!! hee hee.

How are all the Mums coping with the Aussie school holidays?? I've had the morning free so I grabbed at it to create this card.

I think I now have an obsession with the gorgeous images relesed by Krista at Saturated Canary. I just don't seem to get the time to colour them up and when I do, BAM, Krista releases some MORE!!

A few days ago I sat at my desk and coloured this cutie up. I think this one is Becki from a Christmas Double Special here.

This card fits perfectly into challenge #9 over at Saturated Canary so I'm going to enter it there.

OK, I'm off to cook dinner. Crafting works up an appetite!! lol.

So funny and a little scary going back through my creations this past year. Some I thought were wonderful just aren't that wonderful 12 months later!! lol.

Here's what I've found...

A little bottle of handmade vanilla room spray.

My favourite Christmas card this year because it isn't RED!!

Saturated Canary Image that I coloured for my 5yr old's birthday. I've fallen head over heals in love with these cuties! Thanks Krista.

My 1st bookmark (also inspired by the contagious Kellie!) I love the simplicity of this one!

My Wee Image card that won me Top 3 at WOCC.

TPS image Fairy Kira. Pretty in pink!

I'm not usually the animal lover on cards but I loved this little cutie from Pollycraft and I surprised myself on how it turned out!

I love the vintage look and another cute Pollycraft image.

I struggle a lot with Male cards but loved the finished look with this TPS image.

Just for fun!

I'm still trying to get back into the 'enjoyment' of making my cards.

I finally ordered a stamp that I've been wanting for a long time now. A gorgeous 'boy' stamp from Lili of the Valley. Although my 'male' collection has grown a little, I still wanted this one!!

I found a sketch that suited my image size and this card was coloured and made in less than an hour!!! Can you believe that?

No pressure, no time lines and yes, I relaxed a little. :) Maybe because this guy is sooo relaxed?? I was so relaxed that I didn't even notice the 'extra' piece of twine left on my card!! Can you see it? lol.

I love this image as I think it's so versitile. It could be for a little boy or a granddad. Love it.

I followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday so I'm entering my card into their challenge this week.

Something I Love!

2 posts in 1 day! I know right!

I couldn't help myself. Finally I created something that I'm quite proud of.

I made up some vanilla room spray mix and put them in little plastic spray bottles.

Then came the hard part. Decorating them!! Arrrgghhh.

Well after a bit of messing about and adjustments, I came up with this.

I printed some images from The Graphics Fairy, cut, punched and inked and da dah!! Of course I had to add ribbon, flowers and some bling.

A little magnolia tag with the name of the scent and of course the most important info, "shake well". hee hee.

So....what do you think? Do they look ok to sell at a market? That was my intention but of course need blogging buddy approval :)

Need more Christmas cards!!

Well I forced myself to sit and create some more Christmas cards while I still had my copics out from my last creation. I'm struggling trying to get back into it so went on a search for a sketch. I found a few but the one from Sketch Saturday best suited my image I had already printed out.

Yep, another 'big head'. lol.

Once again I've used a Tickled Pink Stamps image, "Lil Victorian Christmas Lolita, Lylah". She's available in digi for only $4 AUS. Hey and then you can do 'big heads' as well :) lol.

I also quickly made up this card using 1 of the freebies from Wee Stamps. So generous to give out some Christmas spirit! Such a quick image to colour up too.

Phew! I'm exhausted. Hee hee.

I hope you're all getting prepared for Christmas, remembering to have fun!!

I know this is easy for most of you but since my mojo up and went on holidays I haven't been able to put copic to paper :(```

I sat down today and got inspired by the beautiful Christmas images of 2010 from Tickled Pink Stamps.

I've just noticed that Kellie still has some of these Lil Christmas Lolitas left in store with a SALE here.

So as I'm not a huge red and green Christmas fan, I decided to go the more suttle aquas for my card.

I think it worked out ok?

The sentiment is also from Tickled Pink Stamps Store.

Now that I've broken the drought, hopefully I can make some more cards! I think I've left it too late to make my cards for THIS christmas but I can make a start for 2012 right? lol.

Odd one out?

Thougt I'd pop into blog land here for a bit to show you what I've been up to!

It's all Debbie's fault. lol. She'd created some gorgeous candles a little while back that inspired me to give it a go. I love doing these so much that I've decided to make some for our local market this weekend. I figure if they don't sell then our home will be filled with beautiful candles for Christmas ;)

Can you pick the odd one out? I've got that song from Sesame Street stuck in my head! "One of these things doesn't belong here, one of things isn't quite the same......" lol.

Did you find it?

Obviously I've flooded the candles with the gorgeous images from Magnolia but at the last minute remembered the digi image from Krista at Saturated Canary.

I think she looks lovely on a decorated candle.

These are for teacher's christmas gifts but made a larger one for our family to keep.

I feel like a stranger in in blog land at the moment and nearly forgot how to type up a post!! lol.

My crazy life here is only getting crazier. You think you have it all under control and then 'BAM'. Such is life ey?

I finally got copic to paper last week and had some 'chill' time to myself.

I'm head over heels in love with Krista's Saturated Canary digi's. They are too adorable. This little cutie is simply called 'Kite' and a dream to colour up.

I added some cream lace, vintage seam binding, flowers, glimmer mist, liquid pearls and ta dah!! A card completed that I'm actually happy with!

Let's see if I can get another card completed in the next couple of weeks. It looks like I might be buying my Christmas cards this year. Oooops! lol.

It's time for a little change here for me.

I've stepped down from my DT commitments for a little while to get my personal life back on track and to spend time with my family.

I thought I'd share my favourite song with you so every time you hear it you might think of me! lol.

I love the song but I think it's the video clip that I can't get enough of! Adam and no shirt, Oh my giddy Aunt!! I've been a fan of Maroon 5 for so many years and have never seen him like this before. Why not??? lol.

I've created a card using my all time favourite image. The original and what I think is the best, Lil Lolita Lilith. Love this girl to death. Kellie can make her into any character and she just rocks it. I couldn't have her alone on my card so I thought I'd pair her up with the very handsome Lil Valentine Lad Luca.

I've made a tag card and followed the instructions from the delightful Jane again. They're sooooo easy.

I've made I suppose what you'd call a non-traditional christmas card. I'm not a huge red fan so I thought I'd make it a little different. I used some Webster's Pages and coloured my images to match those. And yes, there are a couple of buttons as well :)

Another October Birthday in our house!

October is a huge month for us for birthdays!!

Just celebrated my own, my 5 yr old daughter, my Mum's and now it's my 'big' girls special day today!

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKI"

Miki also shared her birthday with her Great Grandmother who is no longer with us.

No wonder I put all this weight on in October with ALL of these cakes!!

Tonight we celebrate with Mikaela's favourite cheese cake which will be our dessert after her favourite home cooked meal, Roast Pork Dinner! (with gravy of course!) lol.

Here's the card we gave to her this morning along with some money inside. I also have her favourite frozen berries (raspberries) waiting for her when she gets home from school :)

Miki doesn't like me putting pics up of her but I WILL!! Just don't tell her ok??

She is sooo going to hate me for this one. She likes photography but her main subject is her little sister Jorjia, so there weren't too many with just Miki on her own.

Don't I make the cutest kids?? lol. And, no...they're not fake eylashes but yes...they are loaded with mascara. She loves that stuff!! lol.

Happy Birthday Sweet-heart!

Just quickly popping in to show you the card I made for my little girl's birthday.

"HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY JORJIA!"

We had a party for her on the weekend and she absolutely loved it.We hired a small jumping castle and her Dad made all the kids scream!

She chose a Freddo Frog Ice-cream cake so that made me happy! No cake decorating this year for me. Whoo hoo.

So here's the card I made for her using the sketch from the new challenge blog, Saturated Canary.

This reminds me of Jorjia so much. She has wild curly hair and I'm imagining to look like this as it keeps growing! lol.

So of course I've entered this into Saturated Canary's challenge this week.

"Tags & Bookmarks"

I've made a little bookmark using the sweet Sonny Honeycloud - 'Poetry'.

These are so quick and simple to make up and you can use your stash of scraps to make them. (I did!) These were papers I used on a previous project and they were still on my desk. (yes I'm a messy cardmaker!)

I added some MS butterflies (inked and pearled), some vintage seam binding and my favourite, a button!! I also added a little glossy accents to her glasses.

Well I've just started checking around blog land and look what I discovered!

New Images and a new Challenge Blog!

Well I sat down last night and coloured in my new AMAZING images from Krista at Saturated Canary. I couldn't resisit buying these cuties and then she decided to release some more! So guess what? Yep, I went shopping again only this morning!!! I think I'm in 'luuuuurve' with these digi images. You can get some too at her Etsy store HERE.

Of course I like to follow a sketch and while surfing the net I discovered there's a new Challenge Blog in town! Whoo hoo. So I followed Debra's sketch from "Friday Sketch Challenge".

I only used a couple of colour groups as I wanted to keep it simple. I didn't have the right coloured roses so I coloured them with my copics!

The sentiment is from the Valentine Sentiments stamp set from Tickled Pink Stamps.

"Baby Love"

The only thing to get excited about on a Monday is a challenge for all the crafter's out there at Pollycraft!
It's even more exciting this week as it's my turn to choose the theme!

With all the chat about babies and our very own DT girl Emma due to have her baby in only 5 weeks, I thought I'd set the theme as...

"BABY LOVE"

My sister has also just had her baby, a tiny, tiny bundle of baby blue!! Hopefully my scheduled post here has worked and I've made the trip to visit them and having snuggles as you read this. hee hee.

*no, haven't left yet. :( They're still in hospital after a little trouble but both are doing well now*

I've used one of the images from the fairly new Baby Love Collection.

I've already completed a baby boy card for my gorgeous new nephew so I thought I'd do a 'pink one'.

I loaded it full of flower power added some lace, a bow, pearls, charm, butterflies with some trailing liquid pearls. I'm so addicted to this stuff now! So much so I didn't add an old favourite of mine....a button!?

I also put some glitter on the flowers but it hasn't turned out so well in the picture.

Well it's yet another Monday. I'm beginning to think that there's more Monday's in the week than usual?? lol. They come around too quickly!

This week at Pollycraft Challenges, the lovely Jane has asked us to create a project using...

'FELT'

I've created a girly card this week using the cute Kiki - Ice cream.

I followed the sketch at The Sweet Stop again this week. I just love their sketches and I needed a quick guide for inspiration today!

I've used some felt flowers for the theme this week, added some seam binding, pearls and a key charm.

The sentiment is a new release in the Pollycraft shop!

Pollycraft Challenge Time!

Happy Monday crafters!
Yes I'm late, I'm late!! AAARRRHHH!
But better late than never right?

This week in our Pollycraft Challenge, the Sassy Sheena has chosen the theme of:

"AUTUMN COLOURS"

So we want to see reds, oranges, browns, etc in your creations.

I'm not great with these colours so it was a little bit of a struggle but I found these fantastic papers to help me out.

I also struggled for an idea so I searched for a sketch and found an awesome one over at Sketch Saturday. Phew! lol.

I've used the gorgeous Pollycraft Image "Flower Girl" from the Swings 'n Slides #2 collection.

I've also used some Liquid Pearls on here for the first time. I bought some a couple of days ago and thought I'd try it out. Don't look too closely though as I dropped it before it had dried. Well that's what I get for running late and trying to get a picture of it hot off the press!! lol.

2 Challenges in 1!!

Tickled Pink Stamps is sponsoring 2 different challenges - Cupcake Craft have a fabulous sketch to play along with and Card Makin' Mamas are asking us to be "Pretty in Pink". There are TPS prizes up for grabs so we hope you can play along too. Since these challenges are so close together, the DT girls were given the option of combining them. What a great Boss Lady! lol.

I thought these were awesome challenges so I jumped at the chance to join in.

Can you believe I hadn't coloured up the gorgeous Fairy Kira? I know right! Now to have the chance to combine a sketch challenge and a pink challenge together was perfect!!

Add a few pearls, flowers, a bow and a TPS sentiment and I'm done.

Finally!!

Well that's that then!

I've had my Mum visiting from last Thursday and today I took her to the Airport thinking, wow, that went fast!

She had a blast playing with all my goodies at my craft desk but it's so nice to be able to take control of it back again! lol.

I did manage to get this gorgeous Wee image coloured up that I've had sitting staring at me for the last few weeks and then after dropping Mum off at the airport, I took time out for me (therapy!!) and made a card.

I found a great sketch over at WOC by Dena and so followed that. So of course I'm entering my card into the WOC challenge. I've thrown a few WOC flowers on there including the beautiful larger rose buds that I hadn't used as yet.

Such a lovely sketch to use.

It's time for some distressing this week at Pollycraft!

The lovely Maria has set this week's challenge at Pollycraft as....

I've used another Swings and Slides image (so love this collection!!) This one is Cute As A Cupcake!

Yes I've put another button on this card. Did you really expect otherwise? lol. I've distressed all the edges and then inked them for that old vintage feel as well.

The large flower is a handmade flower that I made 'last year' when my very talented and gorgeous friend, Jackie came to visit. It blended great with these colours and image so have put this on as well. I guess I'm still recycling from last week's challenge! lol.

I've had my Mum up visiting for the last few days and her backside has been glued to my craft chair so I was even lucky to be able to complete a card this week!! lol. Well at least she's having fun and it is my fault after all that she's now addicted to stamping and card making! As my partner says "It's a 'disease" (just keeps spreading!) He's right you know!! lol.

Recycle time at Pollycraft!

Oh yeah it's Monday again! This one definitely snuck up on me and I'm just scrapping in my card this week for the Pollycraft Challenge!

This week the creative Emma has chosen the theme...

"Recycle"

So get rumaging through all your scraps, your sewing box and all your odds n ends to find something to stick to your card for this one!Please let us know in your post what you have recycled.

I guiltily (if that's a word hee hee) found some cardboard my Mum had joyfully saved for me from a box she had received a gift in. This was nearly 12 months ago and yes I had full intentions of using it and seen everyone else throwing this corrugated cardboard on their cards thinking it looked good. Well I've finally done it for our recycled themed week at Pollycraft. It was great timing too as my Mum arrives for a holiday here in just 2 more sleeps!! Phew! lol. Now I can show her that I really have used the 'special' piece of cardboard she had so excitedly saved for me! Thanks Mum!

Oh yeah, the card. Here it is for you.

This little guy is from the 1st Swings n Slides Collection called 'My Ride'. I just love these little cuties and they're so great to colour up too.

As most of you know I also have an obsession with buttons! I've added a few from my collection but also recycled the large bronze button from one of my kids jackets. Yaay, finally got to use it on a card. Go me! lol.

Another mission done!

Yes I'm still wading through heaps of pre-coloured images and my stack of dp's! lol.

I'd coloured this cutie up when I had my little trip away (along with many others!).

I've been dying to make some kind of tea light holder for awhile now and decided to go with the tutorial that the delightful Jane Johnson made up here.

I changed mine a little and made a tag instead of an easel card on the side.

Just a little decoration with some Magnolia Doo Hickey dies and a MS butterfly punch.

It was my first time sticking down acetate and it worked! lol.

A bit of stamping on both sides of the tag, added a ribbon and da dah! Done!

I really enjoyed making this and it was easier than I thought thanks to Jane's tutorial! Now that I know what I'm doing you'll be seeing more of these! I think they make an awesome gift.

I found a challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar who are asking for 'Tags' this challenge so I hope this counts!

I know I say this every Monday, but really? Monday again already??? Where the heck are my days going to?
There is always one good thing to look forward to on a Monday though for us crafters and that is another Pollycraft Challenge!
This week our very talented boss lady Paula has given us all a sketch to play with. I just love sketches and this one is just awesome!

I've created a card for you using one of the newest images in the Pollycraft Shop. This one is called Super Star from the Little Stars Collection.

The little sentiment I've added to the middle of the star is from one of our teamie's blog, Marit. She has a heap of great sentiments over at ther blog here.

Then it must be time for some more fun challenges over at Pollycraft!

I've stepped outside my comfort zone this week and gone for a bright card. I struggled a little but at least it made it a challenge for me. If you look closely, there are NO buttons! lol.

I've used the car image and 'surfs up' sentiment from the Mini Doodle Set - On The Road.

When you think 'Summer' here in Oz you think of the beach! As it's now Winter here, I so tried to warm myself up while colouring this fun image!

Pollycraft Challenge #94 "Embellishment Bingo" - Sheena

What a gorgeous weekend of weather we've had here. Unfortunately I didn't get to get out and enjoy it but managed to get a whole lot of washing done, including my walls. We have 16 days until we move house! Whoo hoo.

But you're here to see my card for this week's Pollycraft Challenge!

The lovely Sheena made an Embellishment Bingo Card for us to follow this week. What a fun and different challenge to follow!

I could have put all those embellishments on my card but I managed to restrain myself! lol.

I used Pearls, Pins, Flowers on the Bingo Card.

Another 'Just Because' Card

I'm loving the opportunity to be able craft just for 'fun'. This means making a card just because I can and I want to! There's something very therapeutic about mindlessly colouring with my copics.

It's been awhile since I coloured up a Maggie and I wanted to give this one some dark red/auburn locks. Mainly because I always go for the trusty browns! lol.

I've drawn some inspiration from the extremely talented Debbie Pamment. I've been wanting to make a different type of fold card and Debbie's creation certainly gave me some!

I even lost my copic clear blender pen while colouring 'both' attempts! I eventually found it mixed in with the blues. What was it doing in there? LOL.

Lest We Forget

Yes it's a sad day but a day to remember those that have sacrificed their lives for us and also the men and women who are still fighting for us today.

It's also the day my gorgeous niece, Olivia was born. (not the same year of course! hee hee)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAUTIFUL GIRL! XOXO

I would like to celebrate this day and also remember the ANZAC BISCUIT!!

(Like we haven't eaten enough this Easter weekend!)

So I give to you the recipe!

A group of women during World War 1 decided to make biscuits to send to the soldiers

that would provide nutrition and keep for a long time. They were originally called Soldiers

biscuits but after Gallipoli the name was changed to Anzac biscuits.

Recipe for Anzac Biscuits.

1 cup rolled oats

1 cup plain flour

1 cup sugar

¾ cup coconut

125g (4oz) butter

2 tablespoons golden syrup

½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

1 tablespoon boiling water

1) Combine oats, sifted flour, sugar and coconut.

2) Combine butter and golden syrup, stir over gentle heat in a small saucepan until

melted.

3) Mix bicarbonate of soda with boiling water in a teacup. Add to melted butter mixture.

Pour into dry ingredients and stir.

4) Place tablespoonfuls of mixture on oven trays (for easy cleanup place a piece of

baking paper on the tray)

5) Cook in a slow oven for 20 minutes. Makes about 35.

6) Try and stop your family eating them while they are still warm and soft.

Once they are cool they will go harder and you can store them in a container.

I'm sure you won't need the container! lol.

A day to remember ALL that made sacrifices, not only on the front lines but at home as well.

We are half way through our school holidays here and we've had a weekend of rain! I know, I know, great crafting weather! lol.

A 'Just Because' card

Just quickly wanted to share my card with you.

I'm still trying to use up paper I have stashed away along with images that I've stamped up and never ussed.

This is a Magnolia image that I love but being Easter themed you have a slight window of opportunity each year to use it! My next mission, (if I chose to accept it!) will be to use themed images and make them into a 'different themed' card. Such as this one I could make it a birthday card or welcome home to a new addition!

Anyhow, enough ranting. Here's my card.

Pollycraft Challenge #81 - "Diamond and Pearls" -Marit

It cannot possibly be Monday again already?? I want my weekend back! Wow, this year is just flying by. To help keep you entertained why not try our Pollycraft Challenge this week? This week our recovering Marit set us the challenge of "Diamonds and Pearls".

Marit is meant to be having bed rest but fought on to make a card for the challenge she set. Stop by to give her a cheer ♥

Here is my card using one of the new images Cherry Kisses - Tea in the 20's.

I loved colouring her up and then adding some bling. A fun and easy challenge if you like your bling!!

Pollycraft Challenge #80-"Special Birthdays" by Emma

It can't possibly be Monday again? Where on earth did my weekend go??

Well it is Monday and that means it's time for another Pollycraft Challenge.This week Emma has asked us to create a "Special Birthday" card. Meaning, 21st, 13th, 50th etc.

I've created a 1st birthday card and just realised as I'm posting this that I didn't put the number 1 on it! Ooops!!

I got this idea from Maria Bell here.

I've used the gorgeous Kiki - "Kiki Cakes" from the Pollycraft Store.

This is the card opened out completely. I've created a gift holder tag to go in the pocket.

This is it lifted out so you can see it easier.

The papers I've used are from Kaisercraft-English Rose and the plain papers were from my stash.

I'm sending this to my dear friend whose little girl turns the big 1 in the next couple of weeks.
