Been Awhile :)

WOW! I cannot believe that Christmas is almost upon us and I’ve barely started shopping! We’ve also asked Santa if we could have our Christmas a little early so the kiddlins and myself can drive down to Victoria to spend the ‘real’ Christmas day with family we haven’t seen in quite a few years! I can’t wait to meet their extended families and chat, chat, chat……..
I’m late in getting some birthday cards out too and it’s been soooo long since I’ve created a card to share with you all. I needed some therapy today so thought I would join in the fun over at Magnolia Down Under Challenges with Kylie’s sketch.

PC038122

I’d coloured this cutie up awhile ago so it was just calling out for me to give it a home. I also had no baby boy cards left in my stash so why not?  A few of my favourite things were added and da dah!! hee hee.
Have you finished your Christmas shopping? No, don’t tell me. I better get moving then hey?! lol.
Thanks for stopping by my little blog and I hope you’re having a great day!

Sweet Sixteen!!

Just wanted to share the card I made for my beautiful daughter’s 16th birthday.
I didn’t even start this card until THE DAY of her birthday as I wasn’t feeling that well. I let her pick out the image and I’m so proud she picked a Saturated Canary image “Hippie Love”. This is the first time I’ve coloured this cutie up as well and she was fun to do.

PA148109

I used some Webster’s Pages, lace, bling and rose ribbon I got from WOC.
We all went out for dinner and then came home to an awesome mud cake which was soooo rich but delicious.

I can’t believe my little girl is growing up this quickly but very proud of the beautiful and caring young lady she’s becoming. That’s not to say that she’s not your typical teenager though!! lol.

Hope you all have a great week and hope you stay cool if her in OZ as our hot weather is here! Yay!!

50 and not out!

My completed ‘commissioned’ card thanks with the help of my gorgeous crafty friends!
I had to make a card for someone who was turning 50 and the lady wanted a cricket image on the front. Well I never knew it would be so hard to find one!! There is everything else but cricket images out there. I put out a plea asking for help and my friends came through for me. Thank goodness for that as I don’t like to disappoint people. Then of course comes the stress of if they ‘like it’. We all have such different tastes and perceptions on how certain things should look, so I hope this will do the job Smile

PA018079

I’m still not sure on how much I can ‘bling’ up a male card but I just luuurve buttons and so they managed to find their way on there…in a manly way of course Winking smile

I'm entering this into Sentimental Sunday Challenge. I have 3 papers, 2 binding, 1 brad and a sentiment. Check!

Well I better go and wash my clothes AGAIN!! We have a puppy (LARGE puppy) with us and it decided to have fun with the clothes on the washing line. Gggggrrrrrr. Needless to say it’s now going to go back where she’s supposed to be!! YAY.

Step back in time!

I was asked to make a 20’s style 40th birthday card in greens and blues. Well what image could be better than the gorgeous “Lil Lolita 20’s Evie”?? She’s just so sweet and a dream to colour.

P9168076

I added a few of my favourite things such as pearls, lace, flowers and a charm.
Thank goodness they loved it. I’m always nervous when I’m asked to make something for someone as our tastes vary so much from styles and colours. Phew!! lol.

I’m entering this card into the following challenges.

I hope the Aussie mum’s out there are enjoying the school holidays. We have family visiting us today so I better finish cleaning! GGRRR.

Bite Me!

Here’s a card I made a little while ago and actually loved the way it turned out.
The image is from Mo’s Digital Pencil and is called ‘Bite’.

P8038013

There are 5 different dies used on this card including the 2 circle dies. They’re also ones that get missed in my stash, so I’m happy I remembered them for this card. Using the black has made it more dramatic so quite appropriate really that this is going to a teenager!! lol.

I’m entering this in Mo’s Digital Challenge Blog this week who are looking for dies/punches.
Hope you’re all well and crafting madly Smile

Damn You Blogger!!

Blogger has done it once again and lost all my pictures! Yes, it’s driving me crazy, or crazier, you decide. hee hee.

I’ve used Windows Live Writer on my last 2 posts and these pictures are still visible. (cross fingers, touch wood). So I’ll keep writing up my posts via WLW and see how things go.

I really dislike my images disappearing as my blog is like a book of works for all my creativeness that now you along with myself can no longer view. GGRRRR!!!

Ok, rant over Smile

Hugs, Kylie xx

Hugs and Kisses

I couldn’t resist this little cutie from Mo’s Digital Pencil.
I haven’t coloured many dark skinned images so thought this would be a good one to practice on.

P9198078

I’ve followed Kylie’s sketch over at Sketchy Challenges. A great one to follow!

I’ve added lace, ribbon, flowers, dress charm, pearls and of course ‘love’. hee hee.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have an awesome day!!

Made some Father’s Day Cards!

I seem to struggle a lot with making ‘male’ cards but I found them a little easier using these images from Pollycraft! I love to load up my cards with lace, bling, pearls and flowers but men just don’t seem to like these on their cards too much? hee hee.

P8288059

P8288060

P8308062

I still managed to sneak a few little pretties on them but NO bling!!

I hope all the Dad’s have a great Father’s Day this Sunday Smile

A little 'Grey'

Here is another card I've created using the Saturated Canary image "Grey Tie".
She's so easy to colour up and fun to play around with. I haven't read the books yet but my sister tells me that on my next card I should have the sentiment "Laters Baby". Ok then I will :)

I loved colouring up her long locks of hair. I'll keep practicing!

I'm entering my card into these 2 challenges.
Saturated Canary- Photo inspiration

I'm making some Father's Day cards at the moment and struggling terribly with them. Why don't men want flowers, bling and lace on their cards??? lol.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Hello Sweet Maggie!

It's been so long since I've coloured up one of my lovely Maggies! This one is still one of my favourite Magnolia stamps as she seems so calming. Or maybe I'm just feeling calm as I've had my hit of therapy colouring her up this week! hee hee.

The little sentiment reads "Yes I'm just a diamonds girl"

Here she is with her matching tag ready to give to a precious friend!

I'm entering this cutie into the following challenges...

I hope you all have a fabulous day. I'm off to school to help out with the kiddies today!

Puppy Love

Well it's blowing a gale, wet, really wet and cold!
Winter is in full swing and I"m feeling it with this terrible head and chest cold. Today I can barely speak as it hurts so much. We've spent the day indoors watching movies and crafting. I even let my little girl use my washi tape on her paper planes and boats she's been making :)
So yes I have yet another Saturated Canary image for you. Surprised? Nah didn't think so. lol.

I've used one of my all time favourite colour combos, pink and green and Wild Orchid Crafts were looking for these colours in their current challenge! Whoo hoo. I love their new carnation flowers and I've used a pink one on this card.
I also used the sketch from The Sketchy Challenge which Kylie designed. No not me but the 'other' Kylie. :)

I hope you're keeping warm if you're in gusty NSW, Australia and stay safe!

Fairylicious!!

Yes, it's another new image from Mo's Digital Images.
I couldn't resist this one. She's actually one of three in a set and you also get some cute little extras such as the butterfly which I enlarged and cut out. It's popped up on the card but you can't really tell from the picture. I love this little one's tubby belly :)

Mo's Digital Challenge Blog was 'Anything goes' this week so a great opportunity to share this card with you.

Had a busy time over the weekend moving furniture around in my house. I also moved my craft space to our back room. Needless to say I can't find a damn thing!! lol. Such a big job. Hubby also got to see how much stuff I REALLY have. Ooops. He doesn't mind as he says it keeps me out of trouble ;) Like I'd cause trouble?? Pleeeease! hee hee.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Newbies!!

Been in creative mode and made some cards using some new images from Mo's Digital Pencil. I have always adored these images and they have been my 'go to' images when I've needed something in particular. This time I shopped because I 'wanted' to!! lol.
I loved this little cutie and just had to add him to my collection as I don't have many little boy images.

I always find it hard to add embellishments to boy cards so I think I'll need to make some more to keep me out of 'bling' mode. hee hee. Any excuse right?

Designed To Colour Blog are having a 'Theme Week' and were looking for Boy/Masculine cards for one of their themes. I think this fits just nicely :)

Wishing you all a lovely weekend.

Thank you Mr Grey!

I can finally publish my Thank you card as my sister now has it in her hot little hands!
I have just about every darling image from Saturated Canary now and couldn't resist this one as well titled "Grey Tie".
On visiting my sister for the holidays, she was reading the Shades of Grey books and was on her last one. She showed LOTS of restraint while I was there in NOT reading it 24/7!! lol.
So this is my Thank You card to her for having us stay with her and her beautiful family.
I've already created another 2 'Grey' cards. She is a delight to colour up with all that gorgeous hair. Thanks Krista for another gorgeous image to play with!

I'm entering my card into these challenges.

Not enough time!

Now that I'm studying and volunteering, I'm struggling to find time for my therapy!! Yes, colouring is my therapy :)
I really needed it last week so I firmly sat myself down and began to create.
I'm still infatuated with Krista's images form Saturated Canary and so used one of the new ones called "Butterflies".
I just love her new image titled "Grey Tie" and instantly created a card with her. I'll post that next time as it's on it's way to the recipient and I'm scared they'll see it here first. Now where's the surprise in that hey?? lol.

I'm going to enter this into 'Stamptacular Sunday Challenges' where they were asking for DIES! I have used 4 so I think that should qualify.

I hope you're all having an amazing day whatever it is you're up to!!

A little excited still!!

Check it out! You can still see my pics but I'm not fully convinced it's fixed yet?!
But while they're still showing up then why not enter a challenge.
I coloured this Saturated Canary cutie up for a neighbours birthday. The funniest thing is, the little girl looks the same as the digi image so of course I had to give her this card for her birthday!!

I'm entering this into Dutch Dare Card Challenges where they're asking for butterflies. Mmmm, let's see.... yeah I have quite a few on there I think :)

Had quite an emotional morning today. My older 2 children have gone on 2 weeks holidays but I had to pry my 5 yr old away from them in a mess of tears. She then had to face up to school but I had a friend help me out this morning which made the situation a little easier. Not to mention the tears that I had too when I hugged and kissed them goodbye. You'd think they were going away for months!!
My daughter then was presented a Merit certificate and a 'Star of the Week' award at school this afternoon so that cheered her up somewhat!

I hope all the Aussie kidlins have a safe and fun school holiday break and that the parents survive it!! lol.

QUICK, QUICK!!

Oh my giddy Aunt!! My picture has been up for a few hours now and I can still see it. Can YOU??
Oh please don't jinx me now Mr. Blogger. Shall I try another post?? Yes? OK then here goes nothing! Eeeeiiiikkkk....

I recently just purchased some Tiddly Ink images. I know, I know, I'm a bit slow there aren't I but better late than never. I've made 3 cards now but I'll show you my favourite for the moment while Blogger is playing nice with me :)

This one is Wryn-Fairy Friends. I've added some bling, flowers, lace and some glitter.
Can you still see it? Oh I hope this post works as well (crossing fingers!)

Anyhow I better get organised to go to school.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Test Picture.

YES! This is driving be batty!! I still have no pictures showing up and I have been through the network firewall and blah, blah, blah.... It has to be something so simple yeah?
Anyhow, I wanted to enter a new image into a challenge. I just bought a couple of new images from Dilly Beans Stamps. They're images are so cool! Yes, cool! hee hee.
I know you probably can't see this card but I'm so happy with how it turned out. Simple and pretty.  Just a couple of little embellishments including a cute little old fashioned typewriter flat backed button from "Freckles and Pigtails".
I'm emailing this image into the Dilly Beans Challenge so I hope that's ok?

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Where's my pictures???

Thanks to a lovely follower, Elaine, she has brought to my attention that most of my pics have disappeared!! Does anyone know of this happening or how I'm to fix this?
I have manually fixed my last posts picture but I'm not going to go post by post to fix all of them. Eeeeiiikkk.
Thanks for you help in advance.

Newbies!

Still can't get used to this new blogger style. Well it is only my 2nd post using the new style so like anything it will take time to navigate my way around confidently.

I wanted to share my card today that I made a little while ago. This is one of those cards that I call 'My Therapy'. I sat mindlessly and calmly colouring in this beautiful image designed by Krista at Saturated Canary. Then the whole card slowly and surely came together with no stress and no fuss. I just love it when that happens. My therapy is then over leaving me with a peaceful mindset that I can achieve anything. Don't worry it doesn't last for long as the kids will break out arguing in the background ;) Thank goodness for my babies....My COPICS!! LOL.

Oh yes, the card!! Here it is.

Yes I'm still in love with lace but I've found a lovely new shop in blog land that sells lovely handmade elements like my flat backed button on my card. I luuurve buttons!! The shop was opened by the lovely Kellie Winnell and is called Freckles and Pigtails. If you know Kellie then you know this name fits her perfectly :) She has new stock listed each month and she's just added fabric covered buttons!! She is soooo teasing me :) I hope you find the time to pop over and say 'Hi'.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope your day is Fabulous!

Hey, I'm back! Whoa, what happened to Blogger??

WOW, where have I been and what the heck happened to Blogger? I'm not sure if I know how to do this anymore? LOL.
I suppose 'life' itself has gotten in the way of my love of creating but it's not slowing down any that's for sure.
I have an interview this afternoon at one of our local primary schools to see if I'm able to do some volunteer work there. Why you say? I have registered online for a Certificate 3 in Education Support. I need to complete 100 hours volunteer work to help me with this course. So busy times ahead for me. Back to study!! (Better go dust off the old brain cells and see if they still work??) Hopefully when I've finished I'll be able to get some PAID work. Not only that, I hope I enjoy what I've committed to!? Time will tell.

So it looks like I've missed a whole lot in Blog land! Not to worry, I'm sure you'll catch me up! hee hee.
I wanted to jump into a challenge and I think I've just made Krista's over at Saturated Canary this week who's theme is "Happy Birthday".

This is a birthday card I made for a gorgeous little girl who celebrated her 3rd Birthday. I think this is a tutorial I followed from Simply Sassy??
It didn't quite fit in my envelope so a note to self for the next one would be to change the measurements on the front section. (scoot it over to the left more. Mmmm, yeah that will work!)

I hope to get around your blogs soon and see what you've all been up to. Have you all been behaving?? lol. What ever you've been up to, I hope you've had fun doing it!

You can find them all on my facebook page, Charms by Kylie.

Would love to see you visit and become a liker.

A quick post!

Just quickly wanted to share 1 of the many baby cards I"m to make. It seems there's a baby boom on at the moment!! No and don't go looking at me! lol. They are lovely to hold though ;)

I made this one a litlle while ago and just waiting for that right gift to accompany the card in the post!

Hummm, don't mind the little bit of bling that decided not to sit right on the butterfly will you? lol. I'm a little ashamed to say I hadn't even inked up this cutie before but I've made it all right with the universe now, haven't I?
I love the bib bling which reads "Spit happens". hee hee.

What a trip to school this morning!! My little girl and I both got absolutely drenched!! I had to make a trip back home to get her some dry clothes for school. In the meantime my runners are drying out. Do you know how uncomfortable it is squelching around in your runners?? We're both dry now and ov course it's only a light shower out there now. School pick up time I'm sure will be a different story!!

Anyhow, so much for a 'quick' post. Sorry (:

Negleted stamp!

I wanted to join in with The Sugar Bowl this week so this made me dig through some very loved but negleted stamps!
Since I've been doing a lot of digital images, I then don't seem to open the draw of rubber stamps!
I found this Sugar Nellie stamp-Little Miss Attitude and knew I wanted to make a card using her. Isn't she just a brat!!

I also followed the sketch at The Sugar Bowl this week.
It was so much fun to use one of my dear 1st stamps I ever purchased :)

I'm entering this card in....

I'm also having some fun back at my desk again making cards 'just because'!! It's been soooo long since I've just sat and created because 'I wanted to".

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend.
I'm still sick but out there painting while the sun shines :)

70 years of Marriage!!

Just quickly wanted to share a card I made for a couple who are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary next month! Yes, 70 years of marriage!! They're apparently a spritely couple of 93 and 94 years of age.
I was commissioned to create this card for them.

This is one of Mo Manning's gorgeous images. I want them ALL!!

So a little bit of lace, pearls, flowers and bling combined with a lovely sentiment from DT girl from Pollycraft, Marit, and my card is done.

I hope you all have a great day!

I've used the sketch over at The Sketchy Challenge blog this week.

I love these little wooden heart buttons I found. They're the perfect size for card making :) Added some lace, vintage seam binding, tag, flowers and pearls. Oh and of course some liquid pearls!!

My eldest turns 18!!!

Just jumping in quickly to share with you the card I made my son, Brodie for his 18th birthday.
I still can't believe he's 18 and an adult!! EEEEIIIIKKKKK!
Time does go by so quickly so enjoy every moment you have with your children. He still kisses me good-bye and will say "I love you" when he's leaving the house with his mates. Naaaww.
He has such a gentle soul and kind heart and I hope he has an easy road travelling into his future and forever has happiness.

Love you Brodstar!!♥♥

You can never and I mean NEVER get a good pic of Brodie as he's always pulling some crazy face. Lucky to get this one with his cake after going out to an Italian Restaurant for dinner.

Yes, it's the traditional chocolate mud cake but from a cake shop and YES, it was delicious!!

For 'Fun' card

I haven't forgotten the personal challenge I set myself a few months back. It was to use the papers and coloured images up in my stash.
Well today I did both and made a fun challenge card at the same time!

This adorable image from Hanglar and Stanglar has been coloured up and sitting patiently in my container for 'ages'. Poor little darlin' :(
These papers were my utmost favourite from Stampin' Up and I had them stashed away for no other reason but 'I didn't want to use the 'special' paper!!! Well what else am I going to do with it if I don't use it?? lol.
So I've used a pre-coloured image and a stash of old papers to create a card using the sketch over at Sketch Saturday.
Go me!! hee hee.

How are all the Mums coping with the Aussie school holidays?? I've had the morning free so I grabbed at it to create this card.

A challenge card.

I think I now have an obsession with the gorgeous images relesed by Krista at Saturated Canary. I just don't seem to get the time to colour them up and when I do, BAM, Krista releases some MORE!!

A few days ago I sat at my desk and coloured this cutie up. I think this one is Becki from a Christmas Double Special here.

This card fits perfectly into challenge #9 over at Saturated Canary so I'm going to enter it there.

OK, I'm off to cook dinner. Crafting works up an appetite!! lol.
